I'm not so certain. It looks like it plugs into the Wii Controller, which only officially supports the Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro. Even if it somehow passes analog trigger commands to the console, connecting a NGC Controller through the Wii remote is rare enough the nintendon't may not be programmed to expect that.

But really that's just my common sense assumption based on what I know. It's possible that it'll somehow work anyways.
The adapter should treat the GameCube controller as a standard classic controller which has analog triggers but rumble will never work due to the design of the Wii Remote. I do believe there is an option in Nintendont to allow the Wii Remote to rumble.

Game Cube on Wii U ? FIX94 does :v
Nintendont will never work in Wii U mode due to hardware differences to vWii mode.

Classic Controller does not have analog triggers.
Classic Controller has analog triggers. Classic Controller Pro has digital trigger buttons. Wii U Pro Controller has digital trigger buttons.

Edit: I just realized you were talking about that adapter from earlier. Only way to find out is to test it.

I'm not aware of any other Classic Controller aside from the pill - shaped one which is functionally identical to the Classic Controller Pro that replaced it.

I don't think they were used in any of the games that supported it officially and they probably cost a fraction of a cent more than just clicky buttons. :P

I cannot for the life of me get controllers to work on the Wii U version of Nintendont. I had it working before, like a year ago, but I came back, updated it, and now nothing works. I tried Wii Classic controller pro, Wii U Pro Controller, and GCN controller plugged into the Mayflash Wii U Gamecube adapter. Anyone know what's up?

..Hi!
Is there any place where I can follow the development of Nintendon't, and where for instance I can see when new updates are released? I still use v3.333 and frankly since nintendont.net was taken down I couldn't keep track of updates and such... I'd like to keep using the latest versions :)
Any tips?
Regards

Make sure you didn't turn native controls on somehow. You can delete the nincfg.bin file to be sure.

Check the MD5 hash of the game.

This thread or the GitHub repository. The updater still works fine but if you're using an older version from Google Code you'll have to download the boot.dol from GitHub manually the first time and copy it to your apps folder.

Is there a way that Nintendont don't exit when I press the "Exit Code Buttons" >> Dpad down+L+r+b <<?

I have the problem with my GameCube and my Wii Classic Pro Controller but I need the combination for some games..

Turn on native controls? It only works with GC controllers on a Wii, though. What games use that button combo?

Thanks for your answer!

SSX Tricky, there I need >> D-Pad Left + D-Pad Down + L Trigger + R Trigger + Z Button + B Button <<

Is there a way to tell Nintendont always force 480p scaling? Only find the setting in USB Loader and then in the Settings for every single game...

I'm using the last version from nintendont.net so I guess that's pretty old lol

Also, could someone provide me with a changelog since v3.333? Sorry for asking so much!

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
