Hello, so yes, I'm a dumbass, I didn't listen and installed ios 80 for the wii, not the vwii, and now my wii is bricked :(. I am now lost and have no idea what to do but I know most likely there is nothing I can do. I've attempted to find other solutions such as ftpiiu everywhere and install ios 80 again but to no avail. I currently possess no backups because, again, I'm a dumbass and thought this shit couldn't happen to me (Which it obviously did). If anyone one of you beautiful people could bless me with some type of solution I shall give myself to you..... or just warmly thank you :).

I love all of you, my beauties

EDIT: I have fixed my vwii! Here's a small tutorial on how I did it.

1. Install Homebrew on the Wii U
2. Get ftpiiu anywhere in order to access your files, you have to use mocha, chdc, or haxchi
3. Find a nand backup, if it is a .bin file then extract it in order to access the files inside.
4. Get filezilla or similar software in order to gain access to the storage of the wii u through ftpiiu anywhere
5. Get ftpiiu anywhere up and running, make sure you can modify the files
6. Take the title and shared1 files in the slccmpt01 folder on your backup and transfer them over, replace everything inside those folders

And it should all be fixed

I am on 5.5.1 and yes I do have homebrew channel installed but it is not launching to it, just getting a black screen.

Nope, I screwed myself hardcore
You'll have to get the vIOS80 files from someone else's NAND, and replace the files on your NAND with them using wupserver or ftpiiu everywhere. We can't really provide these files, since they're copyrighted content, and on top of that I have no vWii NAND backup and I don't really feel like going through the trouble of creating one, extracting it and tracking down the correct files for you as I have no idea what files are needed or where in NAND they are located. You may have some luck by asking around on warez sites, for example that ISO site, or maybe someone more knowledgeable about the vWii NAND than me who knows what files you need will see this thread and be able to provide you with them.

Could you provide more details on how exactly you did it? It would be nice to know in case it happens to someone else.

Afaik you didn't need to replace the entire title and shared1 folder since you said you bricked by only installing a Wii IOS80, all you should've needed to replace was the folder I mentioned above

Thanks. How did you extract the bin file?
