"You need to format the disk in drive J: before you can use it" so im in an endless loop because i cant put any files onto my wii u, because it it asks me to format again. Any help??

you format the drive on the wiiu,on the sdcard, make a dir called install.
copy there the game in,lets say The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.
my dir is as followed The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild [00050000101C9500]
inside this you have the app files-tmd-tik ect...
now you can install via homebrew channel-wup installer.
here is a tutorial for it.

do you have a cfw like haxchi or cold boot haxchi?
also use the program wiiu usb helper.

its because he probably have a partition that is formatted in fat 32 or ntfs.
i have it for my wii games and gc games on my wiiu also,1 partition is formatted wbfs for wii games and the other partition is fat32 for the gc games

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

but format the drive on the wiiu, and get a 32gb card for installing the games to your hdd.
i thought it was also difficult, but at the end its much easyer then loadiine.
and it works perfekt,i have my wiiu cold boot hacked and games working fine via usb,i can use pal-ntsc wiiu games on it.

i dont think it working that way.
i think the games that you want to install have them on sdcard,im not 100% sure.

all the tutorials speak off a hdd that you format on wiiu and a sdcard for install games from.
if you use wup installer y mod you can copy more games to the sdcard and install them to the hdd.

yep,for most games that is enough to install them.
botw is 10.5gb
mass effect 3 and nba 2k13 are 21gb,it deppends what games you want to install.

BotW is ~12GB actually.
CoD:Blops2 is 26GB.
Xenoblade is ~24GB

No, you can't partition USB drive, because Wii U just selfishly claim them back.
The video you linked is probably using a fork of useless Mocha32.
Get a SDCard. It doesn't cost alot nowadays.
