Ok so my problem was solved guys just thought I'd let you know how I did it. Again, happened completely randomly which was very odd. I replaced the A9lh bin file (even though I'm not on A9lh the bin file is good to have on SD anyway apparently so put a fresh one in), copied over luma 3ds v 6.6 replacing the boot 3ds x files. Redid the initial configuration settings ticking 'show Nand in user string settings'. Now loads up as it used to. If you have a random similar glitch then this may sort you out.

a friend of mine is having the issue of "i get a black screen on boot", when he's trying to install the home menu USA.cia this appears http://imgur.com/a/3Q4HU, he installed NS.cia without problems thought

guys, sorry if im a noob.
I had my 3ds with a9lh + Luma3DS. today it asked to update and i did. Now when I turn it on it just goes int a black screen and nothing I do is helping
Can somebody point to a solution ( Updating something maybe ? )

You just have to replace the file arm9loaderhax.bin to the latest version.
Install in your 3DS the Lumaupdater it allows to update the Luma directly by the 3DS.

I just used LumaUpdater to update from 5.5 to 6.6. After the update it took me to the initial Luma configuration screen. When I reboot I get the message "An error has occured: Failed to mount CTRNAND". Am I missing some step? 5.5 had been working fine for me since I initially installed a9lh months ago.
Try updating manually. Just copy the new arm9loaderhax.bin to the SD card. LumaUpdater doesn't work properly sometimes.
Got it working, I had accidentally selected use 2nd EmuNAND as default -_-
Don't really understand how that option works, but when I changed it to 1 it booted normally.
I'm running luma3ds on a "new" 3dsxl that I downgrade from 11 with a hard mod. I'm currently on 11.2.0-35E.
Is there any mod that can stop the upgrade reminder when I turn on my 3ds? Im scared of accidently pressing yes and upgrading to 11.3

there should be a cia file called update supresser download it and launch it it should remove the nag
First of all, I don't understand enough about sysnand, emunand, a9lh and all that, just that I'm running luma3ds.
Secondly because its not exactly clear what problems you face by upgrading to 11.3 but so far it doesn't look good. Rather put it off till I'm sure its ok.
Thankfully the person prior to you answered my question.
If you are updating from an emunand using the latest luma then there is no problems, unless you use gateway. If you are updating sysnand, as long as you have a9lh and the latest luma, again there are no problems unless you use gateway. Everything that the update broke, outside of some cfws that are not as actively being worked on, has been fixed and just require their own updates.

Hey guys. I have a question. I have A9LH on my 3DS and I have read the new thing about CTRNAND. I am using Emunand and I am leaving my sysnand on 9.2 FW. Can I install Luma on CTRNAND like this?
