Oh its all terrible. I never liked the whole PC Master Race arguments, but at least they don't have to pay extra fees to play their games online (MMORPGs aside of course). Though honestly if my internet provider raised my monthly rates by only $2, I probably wouldn't notice, and if I did, I really wouldn't care. So just changing the perspective can help to make it seem reasonable, even when its really not.

The "free" games are only rentals for a month and out of the sudden Nintendo's going to be charging to play online so you can't say people don't have valid reasons to criticise Nintendo on this matter. Just kidding, I actually couldn't care less if Nintendo is critizied. A company that has no ciritics doesn't exist. There are lots of things Nintendo can be criticized for, but I don't consider paying for online services at such low price criticizable, especially compared to what the competition is asking. That said, I agree that voice-chat over an app is criticizable.

But voice chat is you hearing someone while they hear you. Which is what they are offering.
You remember how bad the 3ds friend code crap was. This is a step up for nintendo. Thats how i see it.
Yes if ps4 did this then it would be a step down for them and you can fuss about it.

I pay monthly for my dumb Playstation 4, and I don't even use voice chat on that. So again that whole argument is lost on me. For me, voice chat has nothing to do with what I'm personally paying for monthly.
