Homebrew How to play Gameboy Advance on 3DS?

Hey guys!
I recently purchased the New 3DS and got a sky3ds+ card and a R4 wifi 3DS card to go with it. http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp Link for R4 type and latest firmware thats on it.
Already own a DS Lite with an old TTDS card.

I got as far as making and applying private headers but wanted to go do some old school gaming as well. I don't have much experience concerning homebrews and emulators, so easy to follow steps/explanation is appreciated. My main goal is to complete as many Zelda games as possible.

I already have SNEmulDS and Lameboy on my R4 card, most of the SNES games are working, lameboy only covers old gameboy and gameboy color games. So i tried to use HBMENU for the GBA games, but the sound is horrible if theres any sound at all and the games are way to glitchy to play properly. It's possible I've chosen some wrong settings but also read that this emulator isn't so stable and till now I find it to be not so user friendly.

So I would like to know if there are any better ways to play GBA roms on a ds. If possible for free or for less than 20$. I could also use the gba slot on my ds lite but prefer to be able to play GBA with a ds card so I can play on my 3DS.

Downgrade to 9.2, make an emuNAND, install a patched AGB_FIRM to both sysNAND and emuNAND, and install custom GBA VC games to sysNAND and emuNAND.

I tried several things from old posts but it seems most of the topics have died off.
the emulator from the link above is the HBMENU one, but that one keeps giving errors whatever commands I give.
Also, rather not downgrade, if I screw up I might end up with a bricked ds.
That and with most of the tools mentioned I'm not familliar with at all, getting my header to work already took me way too long, eventually I found out that there is an easier way to do it and got it working, but took a lot of effort as well. So please keep it a bit simple and otherwise with a good explanation of how to do it as I am an inexperienced noob.

If you setup a *hax exploit, you could run RetroArch's gpSP. I think on N3DS, even without kernel access, you might get fullspeed or close.

The simplest way is just to use Retroarch3ds mGBA (cia or 3ds or 3dsx form)

Well, the Injector is easier and allows for smoother emulation.

Yeah I'm not trying to turn this down or anything, on the contrary, I support the injector more than gbaemu4ds

So yeah, not trying to offend you or anything, those are never my intentions and I'm sorry if I did .

If anyone randomly looking at this thread for the same answer, as of January 29, 2017 the best methods you can use is the injector one.

If you have any questions feel free to ask them here, and surely a member here will try to help!

I have found retroarch gpsp to work better for more games than retroarch mgba.
