Oh dear this looks awful.
How about trying the DQ8 battle font? As in the one used in battles and in menus, cause that one looks fine. It's only the dialogue font that looks like shit.

Moving vertices is not the same as adding new ones, and at the moment it's impossible to add any extra vertices/polygons from what I know because Ohana shits itself if you try adding anything.
And the stuff we'd need to do is not manipulate existing vertices since what we have right now doesn't need modifying.
We'd need to add extra surfaces for the straps for example rather than painting them on the texture like I did right now.

Yeah I kwow, but we can delete some parts of the models, that's why I thought bikini model has been edited ^^. If someone sends me PS2 models I could try something. Even if I think it's impossible to make it works without glitches.

PS2 models have higher polycount and would most definitely affect performance of the game negatively so I'd rather work with the 3DS models for consistency.
Anyhow I'm setting up 3DS Max right now to try and edit Jessica's Dancer skirt on the model.

So if we are all posting our little wishlists, I will post mine too.
1. The english font is blurry... get that. The original english font that the translators used is blurry. So a new font would be nice.
2. Uncensored costumes/super saiyan main character model
3. Original soundtrack (orchestrated). But I have heard that its too loud, not worth it.

3. Just put the volume music to 1, in the option and it'll be fine. That's what I did, it's true the volume of the japanese music is louder and sometimes cover the voices if you don't modify the volume.

The game let you choose the volume of the music, of the sound effets and the voice so you can modify them as you like. Personally, I put 1 for the music, 4 for the sound effects and 5 for the voice and it now sound perfect (to my liking).

I don't want to inject PS2 models. If I wanna try, I need a model to reproduce.

About the uncensored outfits, they are automatically activated if they are included in the .cia, right? (or does it require to use ntr, even after the files modifications?)

If you build the rom (cia or 3ds) with the models replaced then they are obviously activated by default.
NTR is for people that don't want to modify their game.

Using the menu/battle font is worst

And if I use FontDefault_13.bffnt instead FontDefault.bffnt (I guess it's the same font with a reduced size) it look glitched

Well you can use dq8ext to extract files from PS2 version of DQ8.
http://www.pokanchan.jp/dokuwiki/_media/software/dq8ext01.zip
But you'd need to look for a converter or importer for those models into your 3D editing software of choice.

Personally I'm happy with how the Bikini turned out with mere texture edit, and right now I'm about to modify Jessica's Dancer skirt on the model.
Also, the models had a MASSIVE downgrade on 3DS.
PS2 model has over 53.400 polygons, while the 3DS one is merely 1616.
That's over 33 times downgrade.
Left is PS2, right is 3DS.
Now that I compare them I can also see that the skirt is longer on PS2.

That actually looks pretty good, what's exactly glitched about it? The fact that the last word cuts off and goes into next line?

I also tried with the japanese font instead, but obviously, accent characters are not supported

Good, some proof the 3DS version is based on android port. That was kinda what i expected to be honest. Perhaps the Android needs investigation and comparison? I mean it can maybe help with progress.

You do know that the 3DS is no where near as good as the ps2? Stuff like this was bound to happen from day one the game would be on 3DS, having a 640X480P resolution on PS2 while 3DS has pathetic 400X240P Resolution, not to mention the PS2 DVD disc size data holds lot more than 3DS. Those two systems, of course i suspected the mobile android port being the reason why 3DS is the way it is, I think maybe is worth investigating the data in the adroid at least to know if there is anything useable. :ninja:

3DS can't handle polygons like sweet PS2. Game maybe would have been better of as HD remaster, probably wouldn't have suffered like this on ps3/ps4 port. :creep:
