Maybe add comments for people experiencing errors with installing cia files or something, probably caused by bad SD cards.

"My sd card isn't being detected.
"I can't download games from eshop."
"I can't install cia files even though i have enough space."

Just some suggestions, probably caused by a not properly formatted sd card with ones over 32GB or bad memory card with broken functions.

Those suggestion are good and I will ponder me some good troubleshooting for them. I do most of my thinking at work now because I have like 8 hours of uninterrupted thought.

@Crystal the Glaceon I saw someone just removed a9lh because a few (likely bad) cias wouldn't install for them. You might want to add that to your post.

*waits for guide update* :ninja:

I update my guides every Friday and Saturday night.
Updated and added
Current time Tuesday January 17 2017.

Friday is in 3 days. :P

Serious matter, i was just curious, you put that emunand9 can format the sd card to proper use, even the SD cards above 32GB, So what is the recommended way to format the card on windows? I know that ninetndo website says to use the SD formatter tool that is on sandisk website to format the card. But i used godmode9 since it has a format option already, and emunand9 i didn't have any use for cause i don't use emunand. I just ask cause when using the godmode9 to format, it renamed the card and it was automatic, i guess you can't pick the name unless you format on a computer.

There are several tools, one google search brought me this thread
https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-get-an-sdxc-card-64gb-and-up-to-work-with-a-3ds.382638/
Personally, I use Linux with Gparted, then follow it up with emunand9

Okay, just making sure. I managed to get a 64GB sd card yesterday and i simply formatted it with godmode9, it asked for allocation of 16KB, 32KB, and 64KB, i chose auto. It works fine. :)

Although i noticed when i put it in the pc, it said that it was 59GB of space instead of somthing closer to 64GB, wasn't sure if maybe that was wrong or something.

Storage device manufacturers do that.

64 "GB" = 64,000,000,000 bytes
Divided by an actual gigabyte (1,073,741,824 bytes) == 59.6 GB

So I noticed there are shit tons of threads being made instead of just asking in the official thread. So I am going to be updating this thread to add more troubleshooting advice! Update will be soon™

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
