Hacking Want to install Adrenaline but NO PSN? No Problem...... Sort of

Hey guys, can somebody provide some advice or any insight on this situation? I followed a hybrid of different steps and guides and I managed to get Adrenaline installed, with all green check marks and says "okay" and "successful" and all that. But when I try to open Adrenaline, I get an error saying "Cannot Start this application. You must download the application again from [Download List] in [PS Store] (C0-11136-2)".

Is this a result or an indication of the activation problem? Or is this something else entirely? I know for a fact my vita is not activated. I just bought it used from someone and it has 3.60 OS. The seller and I intentionally restored the system in safe mode so that it would keep the 3.60 and it did. Any ideas? Thanks

It's an activation error, yes, it sounds like you didn't replace the license file for your base game while following whatever steps you used.

does it need a activated ps vita ?

If you read the first paragraph from the post you'll see this doesn't work for unactivated Vitas.

Thanks for the reply. So disappointed. The seller had a ps store account he didn't care about on the vita. He said he didn't care if we restored the vita or not. I shouldn't have restored it. Didn't think this far ahead. Really kicking myself now.

If you have a PS3/know anyone with a PS3 it'd take like 5 minutes to activate it and get a PSP demo at the same time, so you could just do that really.

Ah okay, thanks for the tip. I don't know anyone that has a PS3 console. However, there are PS3 consoles in a department store near me and they allow returns. Since I don't want a ps 3 console (except for this particular task), will there be any irreversible thing done to the PS3 console in this process that might impact the return?
Also, is this still guaranteed to work? Or is it like the psn spoofing thing, where within 2 weeks Sony foiled it.
And finally, does any PS3 console type work?

It's a legitimate method to activate, so nothing will happen to your PS3 and it's 100% guaranteed to always work. Any PS3 console will work, as long as it can connect to PSN.

Thanks a lot Tom. Just a quick question. I see there's a step that says I need to restore my vita (because I do not have a psn account linked to it). Now this means I will lose package installer, which I went thru hell to get it installed on there. Am I going to need to install package installer back on my vita after the restore? My only reason for doing this whole thing is to get Adrenaline on there so I can play any PSP game on my vita. And the reason I installed package installer is in attempts to get a demo on there and modify the license file name and all that stuff.

FYI, regarding package installer, (if it helps anyone) I was able to use a cartridge game to get the package installer bubble on there (since I didn't have any games installed on my vita at all). I also had to use the vita update blocker proxy to communicate with QCMA.

Niiice! The only thing I gotta worry a little about is the tediousness of getting the vita to talk with QCMA. I remember struggling with that, and used an app called zadig (not sure if it helped). Well i hv a second hand fat ps3, fat psv 3.18, slim psv 3.60 that can run henkaku.
Like many, i wd like to install psp cfw on the psvs.
1. for ps3 play safe, i never use this ps3 to connect online. How to start with this ps3... check the ps3 version to see whether it is cfw or still official? How to avoid ps3 from being requested to update when trying to logon psn using this ps3 ?
2. for psvs, how can i confirm whether they have been activated or not? Logon psn accounts from notebook is there a list of activated device there for checking?

I could've been a proud adrenaline user myself but it was just that one day difference that I was unable to become one, I could've activated my vita the day before the PSN spoofing was blocked, truly regretted it, damn laziness, even worse is because I bought the vita on day before the spoofing had stopped working, just that one day difference really pisses me off lol guess the only options available for me is acces to a PS3 or better yet, someone comes up with new spoofing technique or even better hack the vita so we can access psp emulator without a psp game, I know it's a bit of rambling on my part but just wanted to vent my anger and frustration with regret on my laziness lol
