EDIT: PLEASE NOTE The below method DOES NOT WORK for everyone. There are very specific circumstances in which this will work, but it likely won't for most. There's a second method on Page 3 which should work for those with an activated Vita. IF YOUR VITA IS UNACTIVATED: You can't use any of these methods, and must use a PS3 to transfer a PSP demo over.

Ok, Someone (Vitaminer) felt they missed the boat when it came to adrenaline.

Unable to access PSN so not able to obtain a demo from PSN.

Unfortunatley the alternatives (PS3/other vita/ PSP) were not an option.

How do you install adrenaline without PSN access?

Well..........

I formatted my card, And tryed from Scratch.

FILES Needed are here : http://www.filedropper.com/filesneeded2

Step 1 - Install taihenkaku
Step 2 - In molecule shell enable unsafe homebrew
Step 3 - FTP over the VPK for Vitashell
Step 4 - Install Vitashell
Step 5 - Open Vitashell , start FTP server then close app
Step 6 - Reset PS VITA so vitashell can "see" all folders on UX0
Step 7 - start taihenkaku
Step 8 - Start Vitashell FTP Server
Step 9 - Browse to Ux0:license/app/VITASHELL/
Step 10 - Transfer the randomstringofcrap.rif to PC (need that later)
Step 11 - Browse to Ux0: pspemu
Step 12 - Make folder PSP
Step 13 - open PSP and make folder GAME (e.g ux0 pspemu/PSP/GAME/)
Step 14 - Make folder LICENSE (e.g ux0 pspemu/PSP/LICENSE/)
Step 15 - rename your randomstringofcrap.rif to EP9000-NPEG00011_00-0000000000000000.rif
Step 16 - FTP the renamed .rif to the newly created LICENSE folder
Step 17 - FTP the NPEG00011 Folder to GAME (eboot and _sce_ebootpbp inside it)
Step 18 - FTP adrenaline folder to Ux0 pspemu/
Step 19 - FTP over the 661.PBP file into the adrenaline folder
Step 20 - FTP over the easyadrenaline installer vpk
Step 21 - Install the vpk.
Step 22 - Exit vitashell and power off the VITA.
Step 23 - Power on VITA using PS Button & Right shoulder & Power button to get to recovery menu
Step 24 - Rebuild database
Step 25 - start taihenkaku
Step 26 - start easy adrenaline installer
Step 27 - follow onscreen prompts
Step 28 - ??????
Step 29 - Profit

I am trying now using the smallest homebrew i can find........

EDIT - homebrew files cause issues, best to stick to demos

Is the string-of-random-stuff.rif unique for every Vita/person/memory card? What if that's a vital part and it's an ID which would cause some trouble if you went online?

Cool, but will your method work if I haven't activated my vita? Metroid Maniac tried to help me by providing me a psp demo matching my vita but I can't install it because I haven't activated my vita yet so I tried various methods to activate my vita so far to no avail

@Vitaminer - It should work for you as activation is for PSN. As long as you can install taihenkaku you should be good to go. Give it a go and see how you get on

@yifan_lu Dude i wish i was half as clever as you - I adore your work
@alienfromouterspace I dont hink its possible for a FW3.60 to go on PSN, hence this work around, but you are right each license is generated on the console. i didnt post my stringofcrap just in case it was unique

EDIT - @yifan - i can get the signed homebrew to boot but it generates random errors all over the shot (probably because i have absolutly no idea what i am doing and guessing)

How did you generate the __eboot_pbp?

Perfect. I've fixed it up a bit, made it a tad easier to follow and also rearranged the filepack so all you have to do is just FTP the pspemu folder over to the root of ux0. You can check it out here if you'd like, and I also edited the title of this thread so people know it's for Adrenaline :P

So I'm installing Adrenaline and I get an error saying 661.PBP not found. Even though it's there. It found all the other files in the same adrenaline folder.

You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
