more like you making an excuse to kiss some developer ass....I mean really i'm not going to sugarcoat shit if you don't like me being blunt well tough shit
It's called 'constructive criticism'. I'm not sure 'dynarec is absolute garbage' meets that definition. How about some details about when and where it crashes, your setup etc., build dates.

Gpsp works great for me! I just played an hour of Prehistorik Man and it was extremely smooth. The only problem I'm having with it is that it doesn't seem to want to accept the alternate background and icon I wanted to use. I keep getting some weird error every time I try to install the VPK. Feh, oh well!

Question:

Is it possible to transfer a save file from PSN onto PCSX remarmed core? The game in question is FF7, and I have back up-ed the save files onto my PC. I tried converting the save files to .srm, or by using MemCardRex and transferring to an .mcr file and renaming it. Both methods did not work.
Was wondering if anyone has any clue on to whether there's any method to do this? Thanks.

Had Valkyrie Profile crash in PCSX. Seemed random, but it might have been a result of getting ambushed. Lost 30 minutes of progress... 10-3 build, just for reference.

I'm sure someone has already asked this question, but forgive me.
I can't use Pcsx,it say Bios not found.
I tried countless Bios,i put in ux0:data/retroarch/system but nothing, don't works...
the bios need a specific name? or a specific bios?
or,can i download some psx games i bought on psn without ban risk (i can use another memory unit)?
please help :,(
You want the "ux0:data/retroarch/cores/system" directory. Also, Sony would have to be pretty silly to ban you for buying a PS1 game.

Frustratingly, the buildbot is once again throwing out 32byte files meaning the latest nightly cannot be downloaded. I assume nothing can be done until the buildbot produces another build?

If the bios is in that directory, it should be detected, given that you have the correct one. The bios file is in .bin format. The game can be .bin, .cue, or .pbp. I believe it's possible to detect homebrew usage, but Sony hasn't done anything about it. I've downloaded a few games from the store myself. You should be alright for now.

FYI, Cosmic Carnage for the 32X starts running at full speed, but quickly sputters at the character select screen and beyond. Oh well!

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
