It hangs on the "Please Wait" screen with no sound.
I've tried;
Crystal > Crystal
Crystal > Gold
Crystal > Silver
All become unresponsive. I'm using old save files from my DSTWO, could that have anything to do with it? Very confused!

How typical - Nintendo slaps together a shitty emulator and shoves a ROM into it, then the homebrew community comes along and makes it "actually work as intended".

What version of Crystal are you using and what method did you use to play the patch?

Downloaded CIA versions from that site v1.2 of Crystal and v1.3 of Gold and Silver.

I just tried using the Time Machine with Yellow and it says on Yellow "reserved for 2 friends who are linked by cable"

Just to let you know, the Pokemon Blue full color hack worked with the Nintendo-made wireless patches. I'm pretty sure the Red full color hack should work as well with Nintendo's patches for the original Pokemon Red.

Don't know what you're doing wrong but it works fine for me. Tested on all your games including Time Capsule trading. You hopefully know that you must restart both games when you already traded or battled once. Otherwise the menu doesn't show up again and it hangs on "Please wait".

I just left it for a few minutes and it finally connected. Don't know why it took so long.

Oh you mean inside the room, yes that's totally normal. It takes time, so be patient. Time capsule works though.

I can connect to the Time Capsule with Crystal so that's not the issue. Don't know why Yellow gives me that "reserved for 2 players" thing.

Which game exactly won't connect you with Yellow? And can I have the sav.dat from it?

Is your copy of Pokemon Yellow legit?

If not, that's probably the issue.

Don't worry, I think my Yellow game isn't functioning properly. I CAN link Crystal with Blue and Red (just tried, both work) so your Crystal CIA is working fine. I'm gonna download another version of Yellow and see what happens.

EDIT: Yes Yellow is legit from eshop
