Is it possible to compile Decaf for Windows 7 x64? I've tried but it seems that it uses Windows 8 API Sets and at the moment of execution, it can't find api-ms-win-core-processthreads-l1-1-2.dll. Is there any trick?

to fix this error api-ms-win-core-processthreads-l1-1-2.dll not found. if you have not done an update in the last 2 years, do it.if you want to upgrade , that is good. but if you want to keep your windows 7, then do a system update

I understand you know, thanks! Have you checked that it works?

i am using windows 10, but there have been reports of that error from people running programs that are built using the recent visual studio.microsoft updated their c++ api.

Tried running Shovel Knight, Decaf runs, but I get only black screen. I know Shovel Knight is playable, but don't know why it won't for me. Tried using both launcher and bat files, same thing. Tried with and without jit. Any help?

That's awesome! Can't wait to try.

With all the rumors about the 'end of the wii-u', so relieved we have two great emulators that will one day help us preserve our entire (and awesome) wii-u game collection.

Can someone help me, I"m in Windows 8.1 and I have the System Updated since I regularly update but I get always a missing api-ms-win-core-processthreads-l1-1-2.dll and similar.

Wait, does it still need Open GL 3.0?
OpenGL 4.5 actually. I had to compile Mesa for my laptop with Intel graphics because it only supported 4.4 but Mesa master supports 4.5 with MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=450 and MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.5. This is only on Linux though, Windows I think you're basically out of luck unless your drivers happen to get an update to OpenGL 4.5.

Any chance of a few more details on how you did this? My (linux) machine's Intel card won't go higher than 4.3 (which I thought was strange, given it's a 2016 chipset). So you compiled mesa specifically for your machine, or are these simple environment variables?

(Quick details; Pentium N3700 with a HD Graphics 405 (although Wikipedia disagrees.) Arch x64, mesa 12.0.3-2)

Edit: Never mind, got it working. For those wondering:
Code:
MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.5 MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=450 ./decaf-sdl play ~/path

It's SNES/NES/GBA/DS/N64/... emulators all over again. Instead of making one highly compatible emulator people start new projects and work split up instead of just working on one, big, great and awesome running one...
And at least we have Dolphin, which is nearing perfection.
