I know some Japanese, and would be willing to translate, but there's probably already someone here with more knowledge than my only 4 years of learning.

Yeah, usually best if native people do initial translation unless you're really confident, but you could definitely help with reviewing it afterward since sometimes native speakers may not have great English ability to understand the best translations.

So i decided to help you translate the app to Arabic. obviously the 3ds doesn't support it. thing is Arabic usually does have some problems with systems and apps. such as letters appearing as squares. Do i need extra tools or it'll work fine with freeshop?

Hey @TheCruel, I can revise some of the portuguese translation if you want. I've already read it all and it has some awkward phrasing that I could help to improve
Anyway, It would be better if someone could revise my revision afterwards

Yeah, Arabic and many Asian languages will likely lack proper font. But you can just create an override.lang file as described in the main post. Then you can test it out and see which letters work. From what I've seen, I'm not confident Arabic can be done very well.

Yeah, sounds good. Should have a couple Brazilian look at it.

I've made a rough translation (probably contains multiple typo's) but freeshop still shows up in English when I put the override.lang in the freeshop folder
