So basically I have a US DS cartridge that definitely works - My 3ds is EU but it could play it before I installed Luma/a9lh

When I open the DS Game cartridge it goes fully black no backlight and then never loads.
Not sure where I should put this so im just making a thread to bring this issue up.

I can still open Luma with BootAnim9 just when I open DS games it doesnt work
Then follow what's below in the link:
If you're using a boot manager (BootCtr9, CtrBootManager9, ARM9Select, etc.) to load Luma3DS, you won't be able to play GBA/DSiWare games, or certain games that need more RAM on the device (such as Super Smash Bros).
Duh! :P

you need the pathchanger if your not natively running Luma to do any of the chainloading For you. as a reboot into more ram/AGB/TWLFirms will either freeze/hang or just reboot into the manager and Reload luma instead of your GBA/DSiWare/DSCart if you have even teh tiney's doubt you've patched AGBFIRM/TWL_FIRM (you would of if you ran an rxtools emunand setup at one point.) then reinstall w/ FBI stock versions of em.

Once you're opening a GBA/NDS/extended RAM game, your 3DS reboots.
If your luma3ds .bin file is not the standard arm9loaderhax.bin on your SD card root, this reboot just doesn't work properly. That's why you need to use either the pathchanger or stop using a bootmanager.
So, if your luma 3ds bin is at SD:/luma.bin, set pathchanger to luma.bin or just use luma itself for chainloading.

Greetings!

Im using BootAnim9's .bin file on the root to be able to load an Animation on boot. So what do I do to be able to use BootAnim9 and DS Games?

Yes but like "
  • On Windows just drag the Luma3DS .bin on top of the program, and write the path."
Write what path?
The path of your .bin file on your SD.
If it's at SD:/luma.bin, type luma.bin
If it's at SD:/a9lh/luma.bin, type a9lh/luma.bin
and so on.
