Homebrew 3DS motherobard swap, won't turn on. Salvage Data?

So i've made 2 threads that are long gone by now on how my 3ds wouldnt turn on after a breaking a screen and repairing it. My verdict in the end was to buy a completely new 3ds and swap the motherboards. Well, even after i bought a new 3ds, and put my old motherboard in it, it still won't turn on. The ribbon cable looks fine, i have no idea what could be causing this. I'm looking for 1 of 2 solutions:

1: Is this an issue that can be fixed? Is there something im missing? Or is my motherboard with my many mods gone forever?

2: if it cannot be repaired, i have multiple nand and sd backups. Is there any type of save manager that can salvage the saves from my sd card? Or a way to get anything back from a nand backup on a different 3ds?

Well let me ask you this does the "new" motherboard turn on with your old parts if so it just means you shorted the older one somehow and just never noticed, it could have been something as simple as static build up from your shirt running through your arm to your finger tip to the board.

the old 3ds is completely in pieces, so im not sure if i can test that again. I might be able to.

Don't go out of your way for me but this is how I would test boards for PSP's I would order online kind of like a PC work bench but all the parts from a working PSP model ready to be plugged into a new board for diagnosis out in the open with no housing.

Double check the ribbons and the wireless cards, even if it is slightly out it won't boot so they need to be well inserted!

No you cant salvage anything :/

If all that's broken is the hardware (excluding the NAND), you could desolder both NAND chips (from old 3DS and new 3DS) and resolder the old one into the new 3DS. This is not at all and easy task, and it probably would not be worth it, but if the data means that much to you...
There may be someone who would be able to do this for you, but I do not know anyone who would be willing.

Or, you could wait for someone to crack the bootROM and get all the missing keys, which I presume would allow NAND decryption. It may take some time, however.

If you have the NAND xorpad, you will be able to salvage everything except your NNID.

Then you're probably screwed. You can call Nintendo and tell them you sold your 3DS and need to transfer your NNID to a new console though. So you might be able to transfer your NNID and games but your saves will still be lost.

You can't do this, the SoC and NAND are linked. Can't swap one without swapping both, and swapping NANDs in the first place isn't an easy task, see http://www.noodlevisions.com/?p=10

Ah, yes, I was looking for that. If he really wanted his data, and was willing to waste a lot of time and money, I would presume he could do this? Thank you for correcting me, by the way.

ok, if this thread isn't dead by now, i have a MAJOR offtopic issue. After the failed attempt at the motherboard swap, the 3ds works fine except for the touchscreen. It reads no inputs whatsoever. Is there a specific cable or something that can lead to this? Keep in mind i'm not actually doing the swap, i didn't want to risk it, so i sent it to a highly educated friend.

EDIT: Did i ever mention i had a n3dsxl? That might help. It's in my sig but just for clarification

Maybe a loose cable? ZIF cables can get loose sometimes, and very easily, too.
