The only known method, is to hardmod your console if you are on 11.0. Will it ever be possible without a hardmod? Who knows, no one can really answer you that, you'll have to wait and see if an exploit is ever found that allows us to.

Guys I have an old version of FBI injected in my HS app. I believe it is 1.4.17
If I would like to update it, what is the easiest way to do it? I'm on N3DS XL with emunand and A9LH if that makes any difference.

Just install the latest build of FBI via .cia format or just re - inject it following a guide with the latest vers (?)

How do I back these up then proceed with formatting, and restore my content? Back up mSD and then copy back on after format?

Yes, do a backup of your SD Card, or format without the mSD inside your n3DS. Though the System Format tells you it doesn't touch photos on the SD Card.

Do you still have a backup of that GW emunand? If you do, backup your SD Card files, then setup an EmuNAND through Emunand9 -> SD Format Options -> Format SD (EmuNand legacy), press select to unmount your SD card, and copy over the GW emunand backup, then restore that backup via Emunand Manager Options -> Restore file to EmuNAND, after that's done, press elect to unmount your SD Card, restore your backed up SD Card files, then reboot and hold L to boot into the emuNAND, and unlink it properly by formatting via System Settings. Then of course, after this, just remove the emunand you created on the SD Card via Emunand9 -> SD Format Options -> Format SD (no EmuNAND), then restore the SD Card files you backed up initially.

This is assuming you have Luma3DS setup, and have a backup of the GW emuNAND that contained the linked NNID.

I figured it out. NNID is NOT the same thing as a club nintendo (they're attached tho??) and is NOT the same thing as the my nintendo thing they got going on now. the NNID uses a totally different password. It's so fucking stupid.

I don't think I have seen anyone say they have bought one with anything higher. So I would say go buy one and check if its higher bring it back and let everyone know it was higher.

More than likely it'll be 10.5.0 or lower. The chances of 10.6 or 10.7 are still pretty low. I'd jump on getting one ASAP.

I'm having a bad time trying to downgrade the O3DS XL of my friend in 2.1
I followed everything, I know that an error can happen, but it's like the 7th time, everytime a Nintendo error at the same moment.
I did the TinyFormat twice etc

Any tips ?
edit : and really often, the menuhax is crashing (yellow screen)
