Hacking Random Black Icon showing up after Luma 5.4 firm 11 update on a9lh

[PROBLEM SOLVED]

Just got a random black icon appear on the system menu after updating to Luma 5.4 on firm 11.

Only appeared after launching Luma 5.4 for the first time.

System is N3DS EU.

Any ideas what this icon can be? It doesn't boot anything, just loops the 3DS logo. I've seen a few other posts about this random black icons but no one seems to have an answer.

Do you have all of the correct files in the right place? Double check.

Get FBI 2.0 and use the ctrnand explore option. You'll be able to see if a installed title is in there that shouldn't be there.

U have something installed to nand use fbi to uninstall

LOL You caught that, eh. Salty much, Just a joke, chill, but serious I bet the next Luma will have you putting random porn clips in the payload folder and renaming them to make the payloads boot. Mark my word its coming.

SOLUTION

I used FBI 2.X and uninstalled 0004000000193000 (aka FBI) from Nand. I must have installed this like 20 years ago when I was drunk, bizarre that the black icon never showed up until now.

Anyways, problem solved.

For all those with random black icons. 90% of the times its 0004000000193000.

Case closed. Let's hope this will help future random black icon threads.

cant say its 90% of the time... it can happen with official apps too.

had this with "anime channel" which i got as a "please install me" App through Streetpass.

It appeared on my device but as a black icon. the next day it turned into anime channel. and meanwhile its switching day to day from black to anime and back^^...
anyway i m too lazy to delete it.

can be one bugged scummvm icon too ...

Yeah this happens if the user injects fbi in the home and safety app.

Solution: delete fbi HS injection and then re-do the 3ds update and everything will return back to normal

Actually I injected FBI to safety app on both my 3DSs the XL and Regular, and the XL didn't show a black icon. Also after removing the FBI from nand, the injected safety app still launches FBI, so I'm pretty sure that's not the case.

I've the same issue as you, this just happened after moved from Reinand to Luma3DS... I'm sorry for being so noob about it but didn't got what you've said, when I created the emunand some months ago (following a youtube tutorial) installed FBI 1.4.17 (I still having this one instead the H&S app) so, what should I do from here?

PS: I just have FBI installed in my emunand, never tocuhed sysnand.
