ROM Hack Official Mario Kart 7 - Custom Track Grand Prix 7 (CTGP-7)

Ok, so this is my first go at using a rom hack. I got the latest version. Dumped the cxi file, and followed all of the steps. I'm using the HANS method atm because I can't download python because my internet is garbage (really slow on downloads until 12AM due to data cap slowing our speed) anyways I did everything right but when I go to the CTGP-7 in HBL it says missing target title. I have a cart dump installed as CIA, so I read through the forum and tried using the actual cart. I rebooted, inserted my actual cart and tried again. Still no luck. I also tried doing it through HANS (even though it says not to but what the heck, right?) and of course nothing on both installed and cart. I'm currently doing a fresh cxi dump of the cart instead of the CIA cart dump to see if that might make a difference.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I think you selected the wrong region while you were building, also, ALWAYS USE THE CIA/CART YOU DUMPED THE CXI FROM, USING ANOTHER CART/CIA MAY CRASH.

Yeah, I made sure I used the right region since they're both the same. I used the cxi from the CIA and for some reason it didn't recognize the CIA in CTGP-7. I tried the cart and hans out of curiosity. Interestingly though when I dumped the CXI using my cart It works on both the cart and the CIA.

Also quick question, is there any way to get this to a standalone CTGP-7 cia so it can be launched from the homescreen without NTR or HBL?

Why would you want a cia version? You won't be able to use the updater, and you can just install a legit cia and use ctgp-7 with it.

I guess you copied the contents inside copytosd, and not the folder itself.

Copied it the same as i always do. Are you telling me i need to put the copytosd folder on the root, because that sounds pretty stupid.

That is strange, try installing the new ctgp-7.cia

Check inside ctgp-7 folder, which lua files can you see.
