OK I dont get it, i though I did but aparently sky3ds+ hates me. I moved from sky3ds to sky3ds+ a while back, and had absolutedly no trouble using my own private headers, untill now. I have SSB for 3ds working like a charm even in online, no problems there, I have monster hunter 4 working too like a charm. But I cant seem to be able to pull triforce heroes in any way. I have modified the CFG file with my personal private header and re0started the damn sav file like a million times. I noticed that I needed to change the Cart_ID for all my games, however if I so much as touch the Cart_ID for triforce heroes, the game stops working, as in, it will show up in my 3ds but it wont work. Please dont tell me nintendo has figured out a way to stop us from going online in newer games. Please someone tell me there is a solution and that I am being stupid and missing something.... please... T..T

The easyiest soultion is install cubic ninja to the sky3ds+ downgrade and install cfw and install triforce heros cia and sell you sky3ds+ and use the free CFW. You don't need headers for cias.

Their are some games that won't work online and i'm sure that is one. I think they did. You can always install CFW and you don't need to worry about headers and all that. Plus it is free

Yes, it should be fine. Just as long as the downgrade goes completely fine as with everything else. Be very careful with each step you take and you should be fine.

that scares me a bit, wats the worst that can happen? I am reading about you hitting a BRICK but no explanation to what that is, also I have a new nintendo 3ds Xl, even if i downgrade and for some reason cant pull CFW off (always something happens with this kind of things and I end up guiveing up...) I can always reaturn to my sky3ds+ and updateing right? ALSO! i can update after getting the CFW thing? do I have to wipe my 3ds? I mean, i got some stuff i really care about o.o

Downgrading can result in a brick, but nearly all of the bricks end up being softbricks, which just means you update to the latest system version (which is 10.7, and currently downgradable).

There have also been hardbricks, which make it (currently) impossible to recover from without a prior NAND backup, which cannot be done until downgrading is done or a hardmod is pre-installed. All of the hardbricks I've heard of happened due to user error, though, so just be careful and you should be fine.

Yes, you can update after getting custom firmware. I'd suggest getting a big SD card, because you'll start putting your games/operating system (maybe not, depending what you do). You will be wiping your 3DS, but that's because it will all be moved+managed to/on your SD card.

I can walk you through the process in private if you're curious to try. This is all fully reversible and it should be safe as long as you follow instructions carefully.

Once you have CFW you can keep using your Sky with it if you want to. Complete guide is here (covers a9lh which is the best at this current time): https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki

After you've downgraded you create a emunand - that's a copy of your systemnand copied to the SD card. This emunand work and act like the normal firmware - you can update it normally. Downgrading is a pretty low risk thing - do it right and everything will work just fine. Even if you messed up you can still usw safemode to recover from the brick.

Oh ladys and gentlemen, we really need a good all in one tutorial that explains everything and it should be pinned somewhere well visible in thia forum.

Alright, let me grab some food and I'll private message you in about a half hour. That's an N3DS, right? Do you have a micro sd that can hold a lot of space? (Preferably 16gb/32gb/64gb, but at least 8gb)

The tutorial Quantumcat linked earlier in this thread is actually great. I recommend it too: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki

I can use my sky3ds+ card, its 32 Gb, reseting is the only thing that bums me, but i guess this way is muich better than using the sky3ds+ in the long run, i hope stuff doesnt get patched though.

The tutorial I linked goes through EVERYTHING including downgrading from 9.3-10.7 down to 9.2.

One thing to try before committing to starting a9lh (which could take a whole day) is to check your SD card for fakeness. Download h2testw and get it to do a full read/write check. This'll take a few hours so you can let it run overnight. Backup the stuff that's on it first. It will check every little section on your card to make sure it can write to it and read what it's written.
