Working great!

I use it in combination with ctrbootmanager (on sysnand 10.1 O3DS and sysnand 10.1 N3DS)
- Homebrew Launcher Sort
- Homebrew Launcher Grid
- Homebrew Launcher
- Quick Reboot

@suloku is there a way to implement a "Power Off" option when pressing "Start"? i know @mashers Homebrew Launcher with grid layout has that and it's way easier then pressing power button or reboot into sysnand and power off or holding a button combination

- Press start in config menu to shutdown (config will not be saved) --> @DjoeN
- Added option to change default title booting method (HANS/R4)
- If boot method is R4, created shortcuts will boot R4

Note: unlike hans shortcuts, R4 shortcuts will only work with this mod, they won't show on any other.

Still trying to reproduce @XeR ッ 's problem

EDIT: @Sykoh, in app theme editing is not planned at the moment. I don't discard adding a way to create a new theme and edit current theme color settings, but it may take a while since I have other priorities (not 3ds scene related).

Really? I haven't noticed any speed issues myself.
This has happened previously and it was due to sd card fragmentation. Does gridlauncher/vanilla hbl work fine?

grid launcher is just a little slow in the animations, but has always been, the vanilla works perfectly. It's because i'm on O3DS maybe?

For me, latest versions also are lagging just at the moment to move cursor on the apps list. Older versions (about a week ago) working fine.

WOW! It's been a while since the last time I updated, and now the launcher is very slowly here
Is there anyplace where I can get older versions?

Where it the lag specifically, because the only slowdowns for me are from scrolling though things (like going throught the titles in hans or something like that), where there is a slight lag.

All of you who have lag are on o3DS? Maybe I don't see it due to using N3DS.

Changing folders reads folders each time, so it is normal that changing isn't instantly done.
Title launcher/select non-smooth watter is due to the list being constantly updated in case a gamecard is changed. I'll try to address that by using the gamecard detection functions, but what I'm worried about is that lag in normal menu, which is unnacceptable. I may have a clue about what is causing it though, I'll post a test version tomorrow, can't right now.

On the new launcher it crashes in most homebrew. Also in blargsnes and retroarch

I'm aware lattest version crashes but I'm quite out of the scene right now. You can acces old commits until you find a version that doesn't crash HB. I want to fix it too.

Btw, launching my mod from normal hbl seems to fix the problem for some reason...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Any way I can switch of the new toolbar icons? (I know the button combinations)
They are embedded, you can change anything by recompiling, but no loading from sd (yet?)

Hey, I finally decided to take a look at why there were some problems when booting, and well, it was a very simple mistake. But I also took the chance to update the launcher for some of the latest official HBL changes.

Also, I've disabled all transparency, so there should be no more lag. I may look at a way to get transparency without lag... or not.
And I'm pretty sure you can't use region4 to launch titles under emunand (at least on reinand 10.4).

EDIT: apparently region 4 works, but it will boot SYSNAND (and of course fail with no legit titles or 9.6+ titles)! Be warned. If you have linked nands and press home you'll have to reorganize your emunand home menu.

I don't know if anyone still uses this.

- Restored "scanMenuEntry(me);" in main.c which caused some boot problems in previous build (don't know why I removed it, probably removed by mistake).
- Updated to latest HBL 1.1.0 changes (except file browsing), including latest ctrulib.
- Tweaked title browser, it should be now lag free, keys properly work and inserting/extracting the game cartridge is also properly recognized.
- Disabled alpha channel for now since rendering with transparency produces lag (and has been reported as much worse on o3ds).
- Compiled with latest ctrulib.

How to exit from a game since pressing the home button does not work? Also, how to resort, as shortcuts are not alphabetized after adding. Is that even possible, and if not is it something you can add? :)

what about a updater?
Well, I'm not actively working on this, but I will be adding anything that get's added to official hbl.
I guess I would be able to edit gridlauncher's updater, but it uses lua and some http, which I'm not really familiar with.

But I'm still open to any useful feature proposal (for example I'd like to be able to setup folders from within the homebrew, and move homebrew between folders, but not a priority feature and don't have the time right now to add that, and doing so from ctrxplorer/fto/sdcardmanagement is still fairly quick).

Also, how to resort, as shortcuts are not alphabetized after adding. Is that even possible, and if not is it something you can add? :)

Mmmm what do you mean? Shortcuts will always as the first entries in the list, but they should be sorted. You can always put all your CIA shortcuts inside a folder of their own if you don't want to mix homebrew and titles.

It should sort this way (if the mix files setting is off):

Shortcut "A"
Shortcut "B"
Shortcut "b"
Application "A"
Application "b"
3dsx file "A"
3dsx file "B"
...

If the mix files setting is ON:

Shortcut "A"
Shortcut "B"
Shortcut "b"
Application "A"
3dsx file "A"
3dsx file "B"
Application "b"

If it isn't sorting it this way, please let me know.

Btw, as I asked in the other thread, why do you want to launch titles in emunand from this instead of the home menu? It is just plain curiosity, as I can't think of a situation were doing that is more effective, unless you are booting them with hans and using the return feature as already stated. (press L+R+Down+B to reset to homebrew launcher, if you are playing by HANS).

Also, the home buttons under HANS makes a screenshot, its not that it doesn't work.

    ewww key shops...
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Why do you really want to use key shops nowadays? You're not really paying towards the companies who provided the keys, plus its very sketchy.
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
https://gg.deals/game/bloodstained-ritual-of-the-night/ - I rather use the proper shops, but here are Key shops shown as well. They tell you the risks as well with each shop

One of the keyshops is 95% off at the moment (probably humble bundle keys)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
And a small percentage of keys bought with a stolen credit card.

You never know if the key works or not, they don't provide a guarantee.

Sure is... and poor devs get hit with the charge backs

devs don't get hit with the chargebacks, the keys are free to generate

Except he said the DEVS get hits with the chargeback cost

there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place

If the game has a crack sure

Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
