I ask this because I want to compare the eShop re-release version/s with the actual Wii disc version/s.
I'm mostly interested in the data of eShop re-release version of games I own (see signature).

(It would also be nice to get them in the format that good WiiWare/VC/Channel scene releases come in).

I want to dump vWii software in a good (for preservation) format. I don't actually know what that good format would be, but I guess it'd be either:
* WADs encrypted with per-console key (for vWii software that appears on the menu)
* Some kind of disc image (for Virtual Consoles off Wii games, like Super Mario Galaxy 2)

well, then first you have to decrypt it fully. it's encrypted twice with the vwii common key (second time at start offset 0x200).
as for reencryption, i don't know what keys you intend to use.

How do I check it myself?
you need to find the title id for a vwii VC title and it's respective version, download it, and decrypt it with vwii common key. then you check in hxd if it has an aditional layer of crypto at 0x200.

I guess I'll just have to wait for my Wii U to be exploitable enough to dump the title's data, then maybe I can find a disc image in the code or other files.
