HANS, maybe?
For taking the screenshots, yes. I was asking about putting them easily inside the 3DS image.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I use this one, which also includes the fancy 3DS images which I assume is the tool the poster above used to confirm the tool working on EUW version, although maybe this one might also work if you want to do it within the 3DS homebrew menu itself.
Thanks!

What are your files in the save folder?

Edit: Make sure you're using the latest version of the Fire Emblem Save Tool and that you have the Global file in your folder, as well as the Chapter0 files at least. If you only have a Chapter1 file, but not Chapter0, the Fire Emblem Save Tool doesn't work. If this is the case, you can rename your Chapter1 or Chapter2 file to Chapter0, and it will work.
The files I got are Chapter0, Global, Map0, and Map1.

Try this. Basically, it's a stripped version of FEAST without file check, so it works with a single save file.

P/s: It is compatible with Fire Emblem If.

Thanks for sharing that!

FEAST worked with If saves too, since they contained Global file too. Although, I'm not sure.

Does Fates generally have a similar file structure/coding to Awakening? I don't have the game yet, so I can't look to see.
Talking about the save files. Yes. It uses the same compression and the structure is really similar. I'm starting to work in Fates save editor once I get a Japanese copy. I know about the save file structure because someone has shared it with me.

About the ROM files, I'm not sure. Maybe they're similar, but they could have changed more things. Fan-translators will probably have a good idea about that.

Okay, maybe I'll ask them about the ROM files. ...Or just wait until February and see for myself.

Good. I'm not really into ROM editing. I tried some things, and figured out the compression of some files, but there were already tools that did that. You and @DeathChaos25 are doing a great job researching how to edit supports. Keep up the good work!

I hope you start doing something similar with Fates as soon as you get the game. After enjoying playing it, of course.

Thanks, I'm alway happy to hear positive feedback! I'm definitely interested in doing so and honestly may try to hack the game some before finishing it so that I can marry Azura/Severa/whoever I end up liking (screw Tharja 2.0). If the file structure is similar, the only new things I'll have to figure out are the hex values for each character and how to let same-sex couples have kids (Because seriously no kids for same-sex couples is BS).

Yeah. There are so many kids, so it won't be strange if one of them changes parents. Heh. I support all of what you've done so far. Giving the player more options to create relationships is a always a good thing. It makes the game more enjoyable for so many people.

I could help whenever I learn to edit the support files. Maybe not soon, but sometime I will. :)

Keep up the good work!

It's definitely made the game a lot more enjoyable for me and my in-game army of lesbians at least, heh. Also, to anyone who wants to try to make support files for themselves, it's honestly not too difficult to figure out. The FEITS usage guide gives a lot of useful information, so if you've played around with that Text Simulator, you pretty much know how to do this.

Alright. I'll look into it soon. Thank you so much!

Hi everyone.

Would someone be so kind of sharing some Japanese Fire Emblem: Fates save files with me? The more characters they have, the better. I'm only looking right now for Chapter files, but you can share everything that gets dumped if you want. It doesn't matter the version they're from, but please specify if/when you share it. And, if it's not that much of a problem, could you attach a text file with the name in order of the characters as you have them in your army? Doesn't matter if it's in Japanese as is or Romaji. Romaji is preferable, however. And if you can write the name of the class they have next to their name, that would be even greater.

I'm starting to add support in the FireEditor for Fates' Chapter files, so I need to retrieve the characters' IDs.

Thanks everyone!

I don't want to rush you, but will you release the new FireEditor before Fates support? Or are you going for an all-in-one version?

I agree. I personally don't have Fates, so I have a bit of bias, but if the awakening part of the editor is done, then upload that. If it's not, then you should finish it and release it before working with fates. That way, you're not on a fixed schedule to add support for a whole other game, and we non-importers can get the version we have been impatiently begging you for this entire time.:yay3ds:

I'm releasing Awakening save editor before 2016. And I'm releasing Fates save editor in late January 2016. I just wanted to ask for Fates save files in case someone had any so I could start gathering several save files.

Don't worry. Awakening save editor final update is coming this year. So, I have around 10 days only for releasing it, right?

You can expect a save from me within the next couple of days. If still needed of course...

from what i know no FEAST doesn't work with If even with global file

I was able to use FEAST with my If saves. It managed to decompress Chapter0, Chapter1, Chapter2, and Global with no issue. It didn't convert Exchange, Rating, or Versus0 since those files weren't in Awakening. Whether it actually managed to convert those files properly, that, I do not know.
