Gaming [Excel-Tool] Zelda TriForce Heroes/Ocarina/Majora Manager

Hi everyone !

Since 1 month now, I decided to develop excel files to be able to manage these 3 games.

Ocarina of Time & Majora : Skulltulas/Piece of hearts/Quests/Masks/Upgraded equipment etc...
Triforce Heroes : Outfits/Materials ...etc

The choice of excel for this completely baffles me.

Pretty simple :

- accessibility, everyone has excel
- no virus hidden in .Exe
- it's only numbers and data to manage
- from theses inputs, you can setup lot of indicators to help yourself

I have simply automatised the work and use the input to do some statistics.

It's really useful for the outfits in TriForceHeroes

Microsoft Office is paid programs and it costs quite a bit, so not everyone has it unless they pirated it.
Granted, I think it might work with OpenOffice or LibreOffice, but compatibility issues might happen there.

I agree:
I use MS Office so some formulas may not work well..
I Even I tried to put it in Google Sheets.... and it was an Epic Fail (#REF...#N/A) ... ^^

But I disagree, I didn't paid MS Office
When I was in my university and with the cooperation program called "MSDNAA"
I use to download MS Office and have a full license for free (thanks studies ).

By the way, they released a "Starter" free Edition to be concurrent as OpenOffice.
So it may work as well as a Full/Pirated version

I spot a lot of incorrect translations (names not matching their english counterparts), typos ( 3) is used twice for example) and spelling/grammar errors though most of it is perfectly understandable.
I'm just not sure I see the point in this. It's not like it's needed to keep track of progress, as you will know when you have everything without needing something like this.

Of course you know when you've got everything but it's rather annoying when you notice that you're missing one Skultulla at the end and you don't remember which one it was and you have to check all the locations. Same goes for Heart Pieces I always complete Zelda games 100% and I want to make absolutely sure that I don't miss anything so I like to plan ahead and think about what I want to collect in my next playing session, so checklists like the ones I made or this tool by @soaresden are really helpful because they make it easier to determine which items you may have missed.

Sorry, I'm French-native, I didn't use Google Translation because I know it's ****ty
It's only screenshots, I didn't update it everytime on the website, but the Excel file is updated

It was really difficult to put 2 languages in 1 file, thanks for pointing this out, I actually like it when someone help me, I will correct it asap

The point of that kind of tool is simple :

How are you supposed to know exactly if you killed 100 skulltulas without noting it on a paper ? Can you manage all these datas in mind ? Even after 2 months not playing ?

How many skulltulas do you have to kill as a Child/Adult ?

With theses files you can know it in a second !

Yes everybody as access to these informations, but the point was to put it in a unique file, and interact directly to transform a "game-tip" into a "dynamic assistant" for the game where you actually input your progression

EDIT: exactly @MichiS97 I like to explore whole Hyrule, Termina or ... whatever the world Zelda's universe is rich and tracking every thing is a real pain for a lover fan like us (even if we start to know the locations by heart)

it will say you the description
BTW, if you already did it, it will say you "Already Killed" and change the cells format

Just updated with the latest version of TFH 2.0 from this 3 december.

Changelog V6 :
- Added the 2 outfits (Oni-Link and LineBeck)
- Fix some errors and changing some graphics
- Compile 2 languages in the same file
- Added the Den of Trials for the quest progression
