Can someone recommend a good security camera

So here's the deal I'm out of town for work quite often usually for 10 days at time.
so last weekend while I was home I left my truck unlocked and some kids got in and stole a bunch of stuff nothing major whatever right?
So this last cycle me and my roommate carpooled in his vehicle I left my truck semi unattended my mother would come by and check on it everyday nothing happened.
So I just got home and clearly someone has been trying to get in there's hand prints on all 4 side windows all along the sides of each door and marks where they were trying to pry open my taenue cover.
so I'm just getting sick of this I wanna catch them in the act and was wondering if any of you have any insight on what a good choice for a security camera would be

It is not my main thing but I have installed or otherwise maintain quite a few different security setups for various people.

Does it have to be outside? If so can you get power there and do you have wifi reasonably nearby? Do you need the option to control it? Night vision?

Various combinations of the above are available in the Chinese IP cameras. You can usually get them to dump things to FTP as well, possibly also email you if it detects motion (though you may wish to point it somewhere without trees or neighbours, you will probably still get the neighbourhood cats though).

If you prefer slightly less configuration on the network side of things (the above will want you to know some port forwarding and probably want you to get a dynamic DNS setup, alternatively I guess you could just use something like teamviewer) then you have things like dropcam. Compared to the Chinese IP cameras they are quite expensive for what they are* and somewhat proprietary which can make things fun in some of the more corporate style network setups but they are more along the lines of if you can sign up for email and log into the webmail portal then you can do this.

*probably about double @200USD (not sure what crossing the border will do), however that can still be less than dragging me out to install things and fiddle with networks. At the same time if you would rather not go for Chinese stuff but something more configurable then Dlink and all that will have their own options as well.

If I have to install more than 3, have crazy recording functions, have to stream to the police/allow police access and whatever it gets hard. Single driveway camera stuff is quite doable by a single person with reasonable computer/DIY skills.

Well I really don't need anything too crazy the whole night vision might be nice but they just installed some crazy bright street lights last month.
But ya it kinda does need to be outside getting power to it and wifi isn't a problem price really isn't an issue either.
My main concern is the quality of the video it does take and and if it would have I don't quite know how to put this but like a wider range or something to keep an eye on both of my trucks and my sisters car.
Also as for installation and set up I'm pretty sure I can do that myself but I might have a couple questions for you once I decide on which one to get

Whenever it rains, there doesn't seem to have any buildup of moisture around the lens.

I have a pretty cool camera, it's the dlink DCS-930L it's a budget one, yes but it gets the job done.
