use nds file open dev menu...srcly?
I wonder why no one ever though of that instead of creating CFWs... *facepalm*
Is there any reason to be rude?
Not sure if you've checked. but I just signed up yesterday.

I've spent one day researching everything I can on 3ds. Quickest way to get answers, is to ask questions. Obvious to you, but not obvious to me. Nobody is born with this knowledge from birth nor do I know the DS/3DS community.

FYI: I'm asking on my friends' behalf, since he wanted me to find out.

Everyone is rude because this has been asked a million times before. The response is plastered all over this subforum, the Homebrew Development subforum, the thread that developers make for their software, and all over Smea's twitter. If you Google "Ninjhax 2.0 CIA", there are *5* results at the top of the first page that answers this question. You clearly did not research hard enough, nor use the search function.

"Research" further in this thread. https://gbatemp.net/threads/faq-all-things-ninjhax-2-0.393150/

Yeah I haven't research hard enough, since I just started a couple of hours ago.
How exactly am I supposed to know to search "Ninjhax"? Somebody new to the scene (like myself), would not know to use those specific words when google searching.

However, I will admit, I should have checked other sections & scrolled through more pages. My research was mainly from youtube and a couple of google flashcart websites.

Having said that, the rudeness is still unnecessary. If you're frustrated with people asking the same thing, either link to another thread OR don't reply at all.

All of Smea's *Hax projects are based around the same idea. NinjHax 2.0, TubeHax, TubeHax, IronHax and OoTHax (when released) are all essentially the same thing, with the same permissions (with the exception of NinjHax 1.1b which has the most permissions), they just use different entrypoints.

Yes but depending on the question it can also be the most annoying one. Research first, ask later. That's my policy and what I personally do.
You're right, rudeness might not be the best action to take (altho that was more of a joke than being straight out rude) but that does not mean it wasn't deserved.

Thanks for telling me. I was under the impression cubic ninja made CFW work using the ninjahax exploit. Therefore from that website, I didn't read any of the Ninjahax information.

Well after a few hours of research, I decided to just ask and the response was pretty quick, hence it saved me research time.
We just differ on how much research should be done & when a question should be asked.
As I didn't know many of the exploit terms/ds terms in general (before today), my research would obviously not be as refined/quick as yours. Additionally I would not be able to process the information the same way you would due to this.

What I've been wondering is if we can use ironhax or tubehax instead of cubic ninja to install cfw's on 9.2 or below?

Not for now at least. Ironhax and Tubehax work same way as Ninjhax 2.0 which means they don't have enough privileges.
As far as I know, only the "old" Ninjhax is able to do it even on firmwares 9.2 and below.

It would certainly make things easier tho. Especially with the youtube app.

No, you can't. Your best bet would be to use the CakeCFW build floating around that allows you to boot into a 9.2.0 firmware in order to use a fully functional NinjHax through a Cubic Ninja CIA. If you want more help in regards to that, just message me.

I'll remind everyone:
1) DO NOT UPGRADE YOUTUBE APP ONCE IT COMES OUT.
2) Backup the current YouTube APP before the day upgrade version released.

I'll be the one to say yes, at least for tubehax (ironfall needs 9.5 to run). The big catch is, that someone needs to port ninjhax 1 over to youhax, because ninjhax2 has less permissions. If someone ports it over, it should in theory work just like cubic ninja

This is pretty irrelevant to the thread, but I have a question. I've been ignoring spiderhacks for months, but is it possible to use them on 9.9(emuNAND)? That video the OP posted is making me think that it may be, but I dunno, it may be crazy given that he also wondered if something that can only launch .nds could open a .cia installer.
