Hey everyone.

Alot of people have had so many questions about Ninjhax 2.0. So I fugered I'd answer all, or at least most, of them. I will add more questions and answers if I see necessary.

Q: Does this let me run ROM's or install CIA's?
A: As of the time writing this, no. That requires full ARM 9 and 11 access. Ninjhax 2.0 has just enough for non-evasive Homebrew.

Q: Is there a sig-patching CFW available for Ninjax 2.0?
A: Read the previous answer.

Q: Will there every be FBI support/an FBI alternative for Ninjhax 2.0?
A: Obviously we can't say now, but probably. A Ninjhax 2.0-capable legit CIA installer shouldn't be to far off; aka probably soon.

Q: What versions does Ninjhax 2.0 support?
A: Ninjhax 2.0 supports versions between 9.0 and 9.9. This also includes 9.0 and 9.9.

Q:What are the benefits of Ninjax 2.0? How is it better than Ninjhax 1.0/1.1/1.1B?
A: Mostly speed, stability, and performance improvements. It also adds sound support for Homebrew on N3DS.

--Detailed Version Related Questions--
Qa: Does Ninjhax 2.0 get better on the latest firmware?
Qb: I'm on a version compatible with both Ninjhax 1.X and 2.0. Which should I use?
Qc: What are the best version(s) to be on?
Aa: Depends. Ninjhax 2.0 benefits N3DS users a ton, but has alot more limitations. If you want CFW's and other CIA related stuff stay on/switch to 1.X.
Ab: If you are running 4.1 - 8.1, then you can only use Ninjhax 1.X. If you are running 9.0 - 9.2, you can use either. If you are running 9.3 - 9.9, you can only use 2.0. However, if you are running 9.3, 9.4, 9.5, 9.6, 9.7, to 9.8, there is no reason not to update.
Ac: The best versions to be on are 9.0 - 9.2. This is because because you can you Ninjhax 1.X, Ninjhax 2.0, spider, I think MSET now, and other things.

Q: Can I use custom themes on Ninjhax 2.0?
A: Yes. CHMM is the best tool.

Q: Even If I'm running Ninjhax 2.0 on 9.0 - 9.2, does it have kernal/arm9 access?
A: No. Doesn't matter what version your running if you are running Ninjhax 2.0. You will not have arm9 or kernal access. This will probably change soon enough though. If you want arm9 so bad, and are on 4.0 - 9.2, then use Ninjhax 1.X.

Apparently, Smealum will release the source code for Ninjhax 2.0 when Nintendo releases a System Update the patches it. So with that, we CAN PROBABLY do some pretty cool/new stuff with it, ESPECIALLY since it is 9.3 - 9.9 compatible!

maybe you can answer some of my question

is it compatible on both o3ds/2ds/n3ds? or just n3ds?
if run on a 9.0-9.2 (o3ds if possible) does it still lacks ARM9/ARM11?

It's compatible on all of them. NH 2.0 does the same things on all platforms. It is not a replacement for those who can use NH1.2, it's for those who can't.

I see, so for all 3ds...

from what I read there are features that NH 2.0 that NH 1.2 don't, like sound for Homebrews and doesn't rely/need the browser to execute (correct me if wrong) so some might want to use it on exploitable consoles

Right. If you are on O3DS (XL) then Ninjhax 2.0 is NOT that better than 1.X. Even if you are on a N3DS, but want CFW and CIA related stuff, you probably want to stay on 1.X.

Soon™
Still trying to decide if I should get a copy of cubic ninja and wait for that support, or just get a sky3ds now.

I suggest SKY3DS, as you can run CN through it for Ninjhax 2.0, and you can run .3DS roms which are easier to use then .CIA's. Also, you can sell your copy of Cubic Ninja for probably $40 - $50! :P

Can you define "Non-evasive" homebrew? Although I am dissappointed that we still don't have full ARM9 and 11 support, which is what I was hoping for, but all I want is something to play emulators on and make my N3DS be able to play American carts. I should get my German copy of Cubic Ninja soon so I'm pretty excited about that!

I understand I can't use CFW, so having an American FW on my EU N3DS obviously isn't an option, though RegionFOUR support is definitely a great addition!!

So here are my questions.

Q1: Will I be able to play out of region titles online? Maybe along the lines of Monster Hunter X when it comes out, although anything could happen even way before then. I never used RegionFOUR because I never had out of region carts, though my brother has an American O3DS with MH4U to test it out, though CN won't get delivered for another week or two so a straight up answer now would help.

Q2: Will full ARM9/11 support be required for homebrew to take advantage of the extra horsepower the N3DS has? Let's say if someone worked on RetroArch and released a public version, would PSOne games run smoothly if it wouldn't on the O3DS? I knew RA hasn't gotten that far just yet, but just a scenario.

Not entirely true. It IS a replacement if you are only interested in homebrew and are between 9.0 and 9.2.

1. Yup! Out of region carts can go onli e on other-regioned systems :)

2. Nope. Ninjhax 2.0, despite the lack of ARM9 and kernal acces, can still utilize new features of the N3DS. Smealum mentioned that alot of Ninjhax emulators are better on NH 2.0 on the new 3DS. Also, he has included a 3D face tracking demo in the 2.0 starter kit :)

Non-Evasive: as of now, nothing CIA, CFW, or NAND related

Awesome!! That's all I needed!

What does "legit cia" mean in this context? Exclusively your own e-shop titles, or does this include dev tools like savedatafiler?

No. A legit CIA are the games that come pre-installed on the 3DS systems. I'm sure Nintendo doesn't want too take the time to give each a different ID. so they give them all a special type of id-thing.

Ninjhax doesnt install on the system. It installs to the Cubic Ninja gamecard. You can remove it from THAT by starting the game, pressing any button, and then hold down L+R+X+Y and ageee to any dialogue boxes. Hope that helps.
