Hi all,
I need your help. I have installed the Palantine CFW, did the procedure, loaded the cfw and installed DevMenu and a game (Prof. Layton), everithing worked fine, I removed the SD to put on it another .cia game and then put it on the 3DS and launched the cfw. Now if I try to open Professor's layton game or even the DevMenu the 3DS freezes and I have to turn it off by holding the power button.
Shortly, I can't run games because the screen stays black. Can anyone help me to find a solution?
Thanks in advance!

I recommend you to install PBT CW with rxTools signature patched version then you won't have problems with compatibility plus you can run 7.x encrypted games.

What version of Professor Layton you installed? What firmware version this game require? Because Palantine runs only 4.5 games and firmware spoof without 7.x encryption.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply :)

The game I installed is supported because I played with it for a long time after I installed ot, but at the second try to start it, the 3ds just freezes.
Can you please link me a good guide to install PBT CW with rxTools because I'm a noob? ;D
Also, for doing the procedure I need a flashcard or something specific?

Thanks for help!

Try and try again, dj's suggestions are good and I *think* many (if not all) Layton games support 4.x. It might be a conversion error or depending on the game, it might be a bad dump. Either way, it *should* work, but I'm not sure how much help any one else can or will provide.

Layton rocks! Please make another movie.

There's a good guide on 3DSISO forum. You'll install CFW and run just once to install BBM, then you can install and play your CIAs through rxTools emuNAND.
