AFAIK GW does some creepy stuff to boot their modes that breaks TWL_FIRM and AGB_FIRM.

im just guessing that they have either blocked FIRM relaunches, or their patches simply break other stuff needed to boot into the alternate FIRM modes....either way its on GW to fix it.......im guessing they will probably rush a fix now, can't be seen to be trailing

I'm wondering why rxMode can't run DSiware too...

I'm wondering why rxMode can't run DSiware too...

its probably once you start patching FIRM it breaks stuff, PBT and Pasta are both very basic forms of cfw, no extravagant stuff like emunand and stuff like that

ok so I managed to get it to show up on the home screen by using gateway to install it.
i powered down the machine and rebooted it with pasta launcher loaded.
pre-pasta shows castlevania cotm installed.
i boot up pasta and try to boot up castlevania - it black screens with an error has occurred - reboot the system, etc etc.

prior to this i reformatted the 3ds to empty the nand. perhaps it wiped my gba firm patch? i'll try and delete and reinstall it again! i hope im on the right track!

It must be either your agb_firm or the footer you used.

make sure you installed the patched AGB_FIRM in sysnand

good news! I've deleted the old gba firm re-installed the new gba firm and all is well!

now i just need to find an easy way to re-size images...

Paint.net (not a link, a program) works very nicely and it's freeware.

yes, but paint can't save transparent backgrounds and makes it white instead.

If you don't need transparency in your output, even MS paint works just fine.

If you don't need transparency in your output, even MS paint works just fine.

Well for simple edits Paint is fine, but mainly I use paintdotnet.

Really depends on what you're doing...photoshop is plainly overkill for simple edits.

EDIT: and to some extent, even moderately complex edits.
