Hacking Creating a North American, non-XL New 3DS

I have a US O3DS with 4.5.0-4, and 9.5 EmuNAND. I can't run Ninjhax on either NAND, but I can decrypt the 4.5 NAND using the DS mode exploit. The EmuNAND has a NNID linked. Does the SecureInfo_A file change when NNID is linked or the system is updated? In theory, I could transfer the 4.5 file to a 9.0 EUR N3DS EmuNAND and login with the correct NNID after finishing the region swap, right?

Not sure what you mean by "change". However, lots of people here, including me, have used donor systems with linked NNIDs.

In theory, yeah—I did it. Note of course that NNID Login ≠ System Transfer or eShop.

Has anyone else had issues with Mii Plaza after doing a region swap? No matter what I do I end up with a Mii Plaza that crashes when I try to activate streetpass. Of course I've been deleting the E system titles on a mounted emuNAND backup because BRM refuses to work.
Does 3DSInstallTickets work in emuNAND?

Not sure what you mean by "change". However, lots of people here, including me, have used donor systems with linked NNIDs.

I mean if it gets modified when an NNID is linked/removed, making ones from old dumps invalid. And NNID login would be "relinking" via the NNID settings app, correct?

I deleted them each once in BRM (they did not disappear from the list).

I exited BRM by pressing start.

I started BRM again, deleted, moved back up and deleted again for each (they still did not disappear from the list).

The freezing issue was gone after doing this.

Yeah I got it working with some patience, just did that actually. I feel like what helped me was to delete JP sysTitles after region swap, so I can reboot and see what went away from the menu.

i agree. I did that last night before you made the post. I've been doing more research and asking questions since then. I'm about to format my emunand again and start from scratch.

Also, I don't necessarily plan on trying and I, of course, know the risks: Someone said he was using gateways launcher to write the nand to the system flash. I can't find this option on the launcher. Any idea ?

Hold DPAD UP while selecting downgrade, with NAND.bin on the sdcard as the file to flash to sysnand.

Move to the downgrade option and hold up while pressing A. It'll ask you if you want to flash nand.bin.

For me, after reboot the icons are still there, I have to format emunand to get rid of the JPN Icons...

OK, for now I'm unable to get it any better, redid the whole setup "by the book":

- "deleted" only the three necessary apps to prevent freezes via BRM
- left out the CIA's michyprima listed, installed the rest (9.2 JPN --> 9.2 EUR files from 3DNUS)
- left emuNAND.bin untouched asside SecureInfo_A injection
- updated to 9.4 via XBChronicles ROM

The crash when renaming folders still remains and any attempt to clean up some of the JPN files only results in more problems cause BRM is buggy as hell and really seems to delete other files than intended.

Just gonna put the doubles in a folder and don't dare rename it

I've been having similar issues. It seems though to be an issue with the keyboard itself. As in, apps like Smash, Miiverse, and the home menu which pull up the keyboard will insta-crash the 3DS for some reason.
