Im trying to play tales of symphonia but I cant save because Nintendont's settings keep resetting every time I back out of the setting menu. I need to enable gamecube memory card emulation :/

Have you tried deleting the ninconfig.bin?
Do you load games through USB Loaders?
^^

... Because that is how that works.

So its normal for the settings to reset while in nintendont? I say odd because before deleting the config that was on my card I could not save the settings at all

If you change a setting while in nintendont, then exit without loading a game, nincfg.bin won't save. That has always been this way.

So I got vWii soft modded, and am attempting to run Nintendont. Everything works, except there is a problem regarding controllers. I'm trying to use my Wii U Pro controller to play, but every time, it keeps pushing my Wii remote (used to navigate HBC and USB Loader GX) to being Player 1, forcing my Wii U Pro controller to being Player 2. I've tried both going straight to Nintendont via HBC and through USB Loader GX, but nothing seems to work. I did recently get this stuff set up, so I'm a little unfamiliar about what I can do with them.

There is hierarchy when it comes to controllers.
I think BT from Wiimotes are setup higher than Wii U Controllers.

forcing my Wii U Pro controller to being Player 2

you can ingame just hold down the power button on the wiimote, nintendont will just disconnect the wiimote and not shut down the game, also it will rearrange all connected controller players which is what you want I assume.
Oh and no, there is no such thing as hierarchy ingame because it all runs through my own code there.

According to the chart OoT/MQ (NTSC) should support widescreen hack, but it does not work for me. It's just stretched 4:3. Using latest nintendont in vWii.

Yeah thats what I thought too when I first started using nintendon't, but for widescreen that list isn't right. Basally it means with widescreen hack on, the game isn't crashing.
