I'm going to assume that the real price is 39.99 + 10 for the packed in Amiibo. I'm liking this 39.99 Wii U game trend. Nintendo needs to keep this up to help sell more Wii U consoles

You need to be reminded why Nintendo's releases three games for $40?

1) Captain Toad - An overly repetitive, lack of creativity and lazy game.
2) Kirby's Rainbow Curse - 28 stages.
3) Mario Party 10 - No online play and required Amiibos to unlock at least 6 game board sets.

It's better that Nintendo doesn't keep this bullshit trend going as it's terrible.

no online play = no buy

Exactly. It's 2015!

To be honest that is exactly true. Most games under 60 are either short or lazy to be honest. Now one thing I don't get is why does online play matter? I really don't see a large some of people who would want to compete online in Mario party(well atleast not like ssb4 or kart)

Smash and Mario Kart are also party games that can actually be played online and if MK8 didn't have online play I wouldn't have bothered getting it. The offline mode doesn't really offer much replayability for offline gaming.

It does if you include offline multiplayer but I get what you mean. Its just to me the bigger deal is the play style of party has gone down from even the GameCube tittles to now its just isn't fun.

Online play wouldn't really work for Mario Party. At least, not the board game part. You could be like an hour into a game only for it to end by the other player leaving or by a disconnection. Besides, Mario Party is meant to be a local game. How else will you smack your friend for stealing your stars?

Which is why a timer for these type of games is useful.
