Hacking Gateway NAND restoration questions

I have a few questions about restoring NAND.bin with the gateway menu (Holding up while selecting downgrade).
1.Can a NAND.bin from another 3DS be used?
2.Since we can decrypt NAND.bin now (I think atleast?) can we inject VC games into existing titles we have?
3.Can other stuff be injected?

Sounds like this can end up going some were but even if we do inject them they will not be signed tho.

1. No, and don't try it, because you'll brick your 3DS
2. Need 4.x to decrypt it AFAIK, and no, you're better off using .cias to install that.
3. No, unless you install .cias or a CFW and further install things (like the extdata dumper, ninjhax, etc)

What's the difference between cia being signed or encrypted? dont we have they keys to do so? I'm still a little new to this

As long as the Emunand boots up on the 3DS, it should be safe to use it to restore sysNand, right?

And how would you trigger the EmuNand boot up with a bricked SysNand?

So no is the answer. Only a Hard Mod and a Legit Nand dump of the same system can fix a bricked SysNand.

Legit sysnand dump>modify>inject into emunand>see if boots>if it does, restore sysnand with this

as i always ways say.....stick to the path unless your prepared for things to get royally fu**ed up.....

but basically, it would be pointless anyway, you need to be in gateway mode to run tampered content, the only reason i could think of you wanting to do rom injections in sysnand is thinking you could run modded gba/dsi roms........which dont work with gateway, either way you cant run them

Sorry but I do not get the point of your statement. Why exactly would you restore your SysNand if it isn't bricked?
