As you might know, if you quit SSB through the home menu, the system will restart in sysNAND, which can make playing the game kind of annoying. If you hit home and instead of quitting, run a CIA game from the home menu, the other game will launch, and quitting from there will bring you back to Gateway mode. Since the only way to save a .3ds rom is to exit the game through the home menu, I HIGHLY recommend installing SSB as a CIA game.

If we install it as CIA, what happens? We jump to another CIA or.. CIA saves are diff?

You can just press the home button and select any other app like the camera for example and it will not exit back to SysNAND.

and no its a card1 type, the whole exit to to home menu to save thing was removed when omega came out iirc.

Exit to save is still present.
only Card2 type are using "real time saving" to write directly in the ROM file.

Card1 still require a Home+exit or Home+load_another_title to export the save to file.
Card1 re-use internal save if you launch the same game than last played game (if you power off/shutdown without exiting, running last played game is fine)
It replace internal save if you play a different game. don't launch a different Card1 game after a hard shutdown or you'll lose your progress.

Ah so its still there, well still changing from from SSB to camera or some other non game app is a proper solution for this.

For some reason my camera app doesn't work and crashes. I tried launching BBB as it exits quickly but since it doesn't have a save not sure if it forces SSB save.

yeah i just found this out after i quit my legit eshop copy of the game

speaking of legit eshop games, should i play them in gateway mode or classic mode? or does it not matter

For all intents and purposes, you should technically play them in classic mode, seeing as that is more or less emulation of a legitimate system, and doesn't have any gateway pseudo-saves/gatewaymode menu injection, etc.

Technically speaking though, it shouldn't matter.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
