Gaming Super Smash Bros. for 3DS Release Thread

Game takes a while to boot as its doing extra stuff, same with the reset on exit..
Its because the 3ds has to reboot into extra memory mode for this game. Its sets the Configmem-APPMEMTYPE flag to 3
So when you exit it drops back to the default value of 0 and has to reset to do it
Values of 6 and 7 added to latest firmware will be for New-3DS no doubt

Why do you think it is possible to skip the softreset by opening another app/game instead of just closing Smash? Does that help in the process or could it be an overlook on Nintendo's part that will get "fixed"?

You can do either like 110 games versus or clear classic with a certain amount of characters (like 12? idk)

Is it just me or did anyone else encounter an error when entering the door after Stage 1 in that Timeline Mode where you start off fighting Mario, Donkey Kong and Pacman? I couldn't get past that door without my 3DS getting back to the Home Menu and restarting.

I just download it and it is fantastic, two questions:
Anyone is having that issue about closing the game brings you back to sysnand?
To have a multiplayer match do we need two games or just one?

Figured out the menus, the character customization options are pretty nice
Anyone know how characters and stages are unlocked? Is it just by playing enough stages?

I got about 8 Characters in Classic Mode when I encountered Duck Hunt Dog.

I almost did several times. Gotten very close. Just keep trying.

I cannot quote another post. Because I am on mobile. But the unlockable characters seems to be at random. That's the order I unlocked.

Im personally loving the miis, gonna main swordfighter layton and gunner snae given that they are not included in the game (thank you sakurai(sarcasm)) the experience is close enoigh to real characters (at least for layton).. anyways, had anyone unlocked the laytonesce hat? A classy hat for mii?

Sorry for this noob question but how do you use a mii?

On the first screen after the title go to the blue option (has a box). Then to the blue again (has a mii on it ). Blue again (miis). And then there you are after that is pretty intuitive just look at the symbols and pics

Thanks for that, it's a shame but then again once I'm used to it it's fine.

It ain't getting a 5/5 score from me on Amazon due to this, but still a solid 4/5 (awesome Smash on 3DS + free 3DS game + Nintendo Club points + part 1/2 of registering for the Soundtrack CD).

I'm surprised you like the dpad so much. How do you do tilts?
