Abstract
This thread presents a prototype translation for DQM2SP's iOS version based on Ich_73 work for DQM2 3DS, as well as AntinomySB's work on the Android version of DQM2SP.
Introduction
DQM2SP is a remake of DQM2 3DS released on August 2020 in Japan. They added 100 new monsters from DQ10, DQMJ3pro and DQ11. The remake shares a lot of contents with the original 3DS version. Such as the resources files used to deal with languages. One got the famous binJ and e formats but the trick is that the new file system is completely ciphered.
Translation Information
This translation reused the DQM2 3DS translation for 80% of the total text lines. The other 20% are either new contents or modified lines contents which can not be used directly. To deal with them, automatic translation was used. The new monster names are based on the french version.
Game Version
The translation uses the last version of the game : v1.0.7. Information about how to purchase the game on the App Store and obtain your own .ipa file of the game are included in the README.md.
Installation
To install the translation, a patch system is used (no legal contents shared). It uses Xdelta3 on the IPA file, which you can extract from your device via Apple Configurator or ipatool depending on wether you use MacOS or Windows/Linux. further details on how to legally obtain an ipa of DQM2SP are included in the README.md attached with the patch. In addition, a .sh file is included to simplify the patching process.
To run the patch files, place your .ipa file of DQM2SP in the same folder as the patches and the included .sh file called "apply_patch.sh".
In any Terminal, run:
chmod +x apply_patch.sh
./apply_patch.sh
This should output a patched .ipa of DQM2SP which you may then sideload to your iOS device via a variety of methods.
The recommended option for non-jailbroken devices is SideStore/Iloader.

Patch Details
- Patch Version: 1.1.0 (June 2026)
- Release Date: On Going
- File Size: 41MB
Additional Notes:
Not all of the image assets in the game are translated, but all the Monster Names, Move Names, Trait Names, Locations, and Dialogue are fully translated.
There are also a few known bugs that are yet to be fixed, including some character spacing issues in specific menus and dialogue lines, and some of the new lines of text being in the wrong locations. Currently, no ETA on when these will be fixed exists.
In Addition, there is a bug that prevents people from uploading their profile to the Online Lobby, and therefore prevents players from fighting Online Masters or opening Dream Eggs on the English Translation.
To account for this, an additional sh script named is included with the provided patch files that patches your DQM2SP ipa so that you may sideload it but the text remains in Japanese. To fix the online lobby issue, use terminal and run:
chmod +x wflobby_tempfix.sh
./wflobby_tempfix.sh
this should output the Japanese ipa. sideload it onto your device without deleting the existing app, to avoid deleting your savedata, and then follow the buttons shown ingame:

If you dont see the button in the first image on your game, you need to progress further with the story until clearing the first Key World and the first Arena match.
btw this Calasmos was synthesized entirely legitimately, the Online Lobby is insanely broken for getting lots of valuable monsters early as heck

The iOS Translation Patch also comes with a few fixes to the app's properties that now allow you to directly access the game's save file on the Files app of your iOS device, allowing you to export or import as you please.
