I am running the Japanese rom on my gateway and just experienced this. Sitting at the main menu in Smash, when I hit the home button there was a delay for the interface to pop up, then after pressing close another 20-30 second wait while the system rebooted into non-GW mode.

Game takes a while to boot as its doing extra stuff, same with the reset on exit..
Its because the 3ds has to reboot into extra memory mode for this game. Its sets the Configmem-APPMEMTYPE flag to 3
So when you exit it drops back to the default value of 0 and has to reset to do it
Values of 6 and 7 added to latest firmware will be for New-3DS no doubt

I use 16 GB micro sd and 4GB SD card and the result is black screen :s

you need over 2 gb free space on your sd card (I think it was 2.21 or 2.1), so just USING a 4gb card isnt sufficient, if there is no free space on it

nope, only for the poses, you cant alter the dpad button functions, sadly

Thanks for that, it's a shame but then again once I'm used to it it's fine.

It ain't getting a 5/5 score from me on Amazon due to this, but still a solid 4/5 (awesome Smash on 3DS + free 3DS game + Nintendo Club points + part 1/2 of registering for the Soundtrack CD).

ok, for definitely not the first time - if you press home in game, exit to something else, for example the camera app, and then you exit the camera app -- you will still be in emunand.

Completely sucks - I have MT-Card... Should of just went with GW Might have to spend another £50 for one

Game works great on gw, just got done playing two hours and heading to bed. Only odd thing I noticed is that when I quit the game to return to the hone screen, it boots me to sysnand.
