So I found out my Wii was bricked and I had installed priiloader so I used that to assess bootmii and then, I downgraded my Wii to 4.2U from 4.3U using bootmii. When I try to boot Wii it is black like before but when I try to press reset to access priiloader it doesn't show. Please help me. I don't know originally how my wii was bricked.
When you first thought it was bricked, had you done anything recently to cause a brick, e.g. installing a theme, region change, out-of-region update (you are in a PAL region w/NTSC SM)? Or did you just see a black screen on bootup and assume it was bricked?
What did you use to downgrade? Bootmii can only create/restore a NAND backup or launch another program. IIRC it can only load Comex NAND formatter or the bootmini version of Hackmii installer from SD, or start the Homebrew Channel if already installed or just boot to SM.
There is a program called cboot2 that can replace bootmii folder files with its own and load another program usually either Wad Manager 1.5 or MMM.
What programs, if any can you still run?
Is it a White Wii, and if so, do you have a GameCube controller?
Before you went and downgraded, could you turn the on the system with your Wiimote or did you have to press the power button on the console?
A bad Bluetooth module won't let a Wiimote power up the console and when you press the button you only get a black screen....
IF that was the case, AND you did the downgrade correctly (installing SM and IOS70), the bad BT module is still the cause of your black screen. there is great guide over on
iFixit to replace BT module.
If you did an out-of region update AND have Bootmii as boot2 check out
BLIND. (It could have been loaded from Priiloader but...)
