Nope. They haven't worked out any way to modify a game yet, and with the original game you need the portal and characters to even get in-game. I wouldn't expect this to be worked around either (at least not in the foreseeable future), as it hasn't on the systems that are much easier to work around stuff like this (wii, 360, etc)

i just got my gateway today.please help me this
i format 8gb micro sdhc to exfat and then put 3 games by copy and paste
the gateway just show 1 game and others is blank (white icon) i was playing about 2,3 minutes and the game show message : an error has occurred .

Its extremely helpful to be able to ask directly, what troubles my little brain, since for every console i want to crack there are hundreds of new threads, different types of hacking their systems and different combinations of attacks on whatever runs on those things.

I have a Nintendo 3DS(not XL) and in the System Menu it says
6.1.0-0E,
while the console itself seems to be german - it says so on the back
"D-63760 Großostheim",
which i presume is the city of last assembly.
So my question herein is:
Is there a way to use a flashcard or some other existing method to be able to run my own code, a Custom Firm/Software?
What options do i have?
I searched the forum and stumbled upon some flashcards, which seem to be limited to the versions 4.1-4.5, which would mean, mine is too new?
I'll be glad for any thoughtful answer or link inside this forum, because i'm willing to look and read, but even after using the search with terms like "6.1.0-0E" or "6.1.0" it didnt show any results.

Hmmm:s sounds like a fake 8gb card
didn't think anyone would bother.........test it with h2testw....if it's a legit card your roms might be badAs long as the console matches the rom region it should be fine I.e us rom on us console
Basically ATM there is no way of running 3ds mode homebrew/code/flashcards, so you would be limited to running original NDS homebrew on a NDS flashcards.
It will be likely you will be able to run homebrew in the future, smealum is developing a new exploit that works on 5.x -7.1
But again this is more limited than the 4.x exploit and will only allow homebrew but no flashcards
Ok i'll test it today but i have one more question i that ok if i use copy and paste for sdcard because i used win disk imager with 2gb i just put 1 game in there and the game worked just fine and when i copy and paste 3 games with 8gb i have that error.Gamesquest1 said:
yeah this is just what happens with the fake card, its real size is usually much smaller so you might have a 1-2GB card disguised as a 8GB, basically if the game goes beyond the initial real 1-2gb it becomes "corrupt" i.e the space its saving to doesn't exist so its just corrupt once you go past the real limit,
just run h2testw it should let you know if its fake and tell you the real size limit im guessing if you only get 1 game on it will be 1-2GB

Also, if I then download the Daily Puzzles on Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, there's no way it will update my real NAND, correct?
And a second question... Is it safe to update my Gateway to the newest version? Or are people experiencing any problems with that?

Your real nand will remain untouched the entire time you're in emunand.
There haven't been any reported bricking issues with the newest Omega firmware for the gateway.
The gateway team allegedly removed the bricking process from their launcher and software probably because the update is the first real card update and is incompatible with other "clone" cards.

now that you mention it i have a US 3DS but onlyEUR retailgames so......can i buy DLC for games that i only own as rom?
im actually pretty sure wifi set up in emunand will actually be applied to system nand too....you can delete it from system nand afterwards but it stays setup in emunand .....not really sure why it happens might just be how the 3ds applies the settings or something.....but other than that yeah anything you do in emunand is separate from system nand
yeah you can buy DLC for roms on pretty much most games iirc some games have issues but that might be fixed now idk
as for your retail games you will not be able to download DLC for them as you will not be able to access the EUR eshop to download them
I just got my r4i gold pro card and I'm not sure what to do. I put in R4i-V3.4b and it seems to be working. I'm still running on really old firmware though(4.3xxx) and when I try updating to 7.0.0-13 it just gets stuck at ''upgrade firmware.... erasing device''.

I just tried it out and it's exactly as you say. Setting up a connection in EmuNAND also creates that connection in the real NAND.
Removing the connection on real NAND will NOT delete the connection on EmuNAND, so that's the way to have the connection on EmuNAND and not the real NAND.
So, can anyone vouch for upgrading to the newest Gateway firmware? I am still on Gateway 1.2

errrmmm just to let you know 1.2 does not have emunand
so your just setting it up and deleting it in system nand don't worry 2.1 is the most stable firmware yet and we can almost rest out little minds about bricks etc.............almost........so far there has been no bricks but still some debates as to if the brick code is even there any more

2) whichever region you want to play online with, you can only play online or download DLC for the single region so choose wisely
