this is a virtual console dump and does apparently work where as the previous was a 3dsware dump in the .cia format which doesnt work
well I hope they can dump the ambassador titles soon
I'm still on Gateway 1.2 but considering updating to 2.1. I'm just a little concerned that once you're on it you're stuck for good. Do you think this is a risk worth taking? If there were no more future updates from Gateway and another cart was produced which was better would it be possible to use it instead? Is there anything else I should be considering before updating? Thanks.
Once with 2.1 you never go back!
Even if Gateway never releases another update, this is still the superior firmware to use. The only real reason for you to be wary of updating is how their previous release had brick code that screwed a bunch of people, and we don't know how safe this one is. First people said there was no brick code, then people said there was, etc. I've used 2.1 a bunch and never had any problems, but there were a lot of people who used 2.0b2 and didn't have any problems, so it's up to you.I'm still on Gateway 1.2 but considering updating to 2.1. How would GBA titles work?
Seems Gateway Omega has "some" online capabilities in games. Such as in New Leaf (animal crossing). I just received a gift in the post office by checking for downloadable content.

I wasn't aware that the downloadable content was done through spotpass....

yeah it happened to me too, although only once in maybe like, 50+ times i have loaded it upSpeaking of Gateway Omega. It appears that going into Gateway Mode isn't 100% crash proof. It just happened to crash on me when entering gateway mode, had to reboot the 3DS. Saw all kinda awesome stripes, just like on the old beta days.

I was getting them quite a bit for awhile on 2.1Ω, until I upgraded my 8GB SanDisk to a 16GB PNY. They are both class 4 cards. I don't know if it was the SD cards themselves, the fact that I reformatted the PNY with SDformatter v4 before using it for this, or extracting and injecting the emuNAND with emuNAND tool. That leads me to believe the crashing has something to do with the SD cards.
