Gaming So......Yoshi's New Island turned out to be really good.

wouldn't call it good call it boring so far it's the exact same game as the snes version but with tiny little differences. also the controls are bad and sluggish. i've lost count of how many times it has accidentally did a ground pound and killed me!

it seems all ninty can do these days is make the exact same game over and over with a new look or different levels. they did it with new super mario bros, link between worlds and now this. they don't seem to be capable of making a new game these days!! no wonder their in 3rd place this gen

You remember wrong. It was a sequel with new levels and new babies...unless you are thinking of the gba port of yoshis island, but that still only had baby mario

Reviews are opinions, just like this thread. Reviewers may lambast the game, but that doesn't mean the game itself is bad.

Similar situation with DKCTF. Bad reviews, great game.

lol, Since when now days corporate reviews matter, they're always personal opinions or sponsored bs, i have not seen a real review in a while, even with someone like angry joe which is supposed to be doing it right is just his personal opinion all over the place. You are better if you see some minutes footage of the released game. If you like, you buy, if you aren't sure you do that other thing that you know and you do but i can't say, lol.

Mediocre game like all Nintendo games on the 3DS, seriously, Mario Land 3D, NSMB2, Luigi's Mansions 2, all of them were mediocre.
The only one i liked was Animal Crossing.
(Even Mario Kart 7 isn't the best, there are no stuff to do after you beat the GP)

You cannot put Yoshi's New Island in the same league as those three games. Those are actually good games imo.

What about the secret levels unlocked upon 100% completion?
Usually those are pretty satisfying (unless we're talking about the last three ones in YI DS, which are more of the masoscore genre)
They don't even raise the bar here?
