Its in the slot directly next to the SD card. My black Sixaxis controller works just fine in that slot but when I switch to my white DS3 Sixaxis I get that screen in HIDTest.
I will try my white controller and post the results

Edit: My white controller works fine with Nintendont with the included controller.ini

When I load HIDTest without the config it loads up find and all buttons map like normal.

This is the Black plain Sixaxis and the HIDTest. Will also Uplod the white with its test.

And an instant restart

That means the values on the controller.ini do not match your controller or a controller is not plugged in

Check your button presses for each controller. If one number is wrong then it will not boot

And an instant restart.

I can't tell if something is right or wrong with just that information. I need to know what values change when you press each button on the white controller

has anyone asked for USB support yet ? ... that would take a very smart man to implement

Nintendont is still in alpha. USB support isn't very important at this point in time. Once all dsp versions have been fixed then maybe someone will look into adding usb support. It will probably be like dios mios and have a different version for usb and sd

Nintendont supports compressed ISOs so that helps alot with the room issue.

Ain't gonna happen for a while, there are other issues with higher priority. These include compatibility, stability, DSP versions, etc. And yes USB support has been asked countless times already.

I did realize that pressing left on the dpad also changes offset 17 to FF along with offset 2 to 80
down changes offset 16 along with offset 2 to 40
right changes offset 15 along with offset 2 to 20
up changes offset 14 along with offset 2 to 10.
L2 (set as L for Nintendont) changes offset 18 to FF and offset 3 to 01.
R2 changes offset 19 to FF as well as offset 3 to 02.

That change it to anything a little more understandable because I'm still confused. Everything else changes single values listed in the ps3ini (A, B, X, Y, Z, Power, Start)

Also, do you need values for upRight, DownRight etc?

I understand how to make a controller.ini but the one made for my DS3 controller isn't correctly working so I was trying to understand what is exactly wrong.

Want to play GameCube games on your Wii U? Click here"
Was sharing the info to see if that is a normal response from button presses or if I need to change/add a few lines

Gonna mess around with Nintendont on the Wii for now since controller.ini isn't needed, maybe my controllers will work there.

I realized my problem with the HID devices. It seems that just the US version of Mario Kart Double Dash! is not compatible with the ps3 controller. My controller and config work perfectly fine with super mario sunshine's file select screen (freezes at first cutscene).

Impossible. All my games are tested with a ps3 controller and double dash is one of the only games with PERFECT compatibility

I have actually gotten past the first cutscene on sunshine

Well, that's quite interesting. I can't seem to get double dash to work at all as it never records any input and remains on the screen with latiku.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.
