Just put it back on the SD card in the 3DS, the same SD card that they want to be sent with the 3DS.

i want say that:
if some people send the 3ds (genuine GW bricked), we can understand how GW fix it in this way:

1 re-open the 3ds
2 see where GW put the iron for restore the 3ds
3 explain to all world the POINT for restore the bricked 3ds

Theres no way to say if they are for sure till they repair consoles.
It could easily be said they bugged software to get some users sending in free hardware...
wouldnt be the first time a chinese shipper did this, first time for a mod company - but not the first time overall.

having said that, i dont want that, i would love this warranty from them; should i ever face the blue screen.

That's kind of true. Just because they said they will do something does not mean they will follow up 100% of the time. And until I hear such results that information is not going to be a huge focus in the comparison thread.

Gateway has every right to try to protect their work. They have no right to brick CONSOLES of people, no matter if they used clones or not. They should get shot for this...

Gateway sure as hell aren't going to give people free replacements either, despite what they promised. Why would a small shady Chinese piracy company (that isn't even a year old) suddenly replace hundreds of broken consoles for free? Not even Nintendo replaces bricked consoles if they're out of warranty.

It's so obvious gateway only made this announcement to stem the tide of criticism on the forums.
