Hacking Gateway will fix any bricked 3DS for free, as long as you're not lying!

People bought clones because they were cheaper. The clones were cheaper because they didn't create their own software. The clones used somebody else's work that had code that would brick consoles. The clones distributed this malicious launcher. Gateway is somehow the evil culprit? I don't get it.

So they bricked few legit users and now they're willing to fix their 3DS'? Didn't they mention that those users were hired 'Chinese Gangsters' to make Gateway's image look bad?

I honestly wonder why there are some people who are still loyal to Gateway especially after implementing a bricking code which is absolutely disgraceful.

I genuinely appreciate you for sticking up for me. I really do. You guys really have no idea how much work and pressure I'm under as of late. You guys would too if it's exam crunch time with medical school and related works. I don't really get the luxury to sit around the Temp 24 hours a day, lurking 24 hours a day on multiple forums grabbing news. I try, I really do. I just wish some of you guys would seriously lay the fuck off with calling my updates slow. I really want to help out and figure out what the hell is going on just as much as any of you. I'm also doing this as a volunteer job. I don't get paid for doing any of this. If I was paid and I was doing a crappy job, I'd take the criticism in stride, but other than that these complaints are baseless.

SO! Here is the thing. Just because I have a fancy name tag and distinctions does not automatically make me a moderator. I only have the power to moderate within the User Submitted News category. I only intervene here in the absolute worst case scenario such as when someone is out posting pornography. I would lock the thread and report it for deletion. Even then, that's technically a breach of my own duties. I'm not allowed to do that. With all of these threads, I would love to intervene and clean up, but I'm simply not allowed to. Do know that topics will and always will be appropriately reported for moderation when it comes down to that though. I'm technically the LOWEST tier on the staff totem pole, so just give me a bit of a break here and there.

Who dares dispute these claims? Do you, Relenting? If not, I can't see why you would object to that specific post of osirisjem. Not that I share his fixation on bashing clone companies, but nothing he said was inaccurate.

Oh I agree fully, but grandiose claims were made in the post of that thread, none of which were ultimately substantiated and some of which later turned out to be false entirely.

Yet, for some unfathomable reason, presumably supposed inerrancy of the "dev gods", it didn't occur to anyone to check whether all of it was legit.

I was actually happy when i read that thread about the savegame crash of Kid Icarus JPN.

I don't own one.
I doubt I'll get one.

I am anti-r4. They are useless.
They make nothing. They are helping *NO ONE*.
And they are bricking consoles because of their stupidity.
Gateway has all the knowledge and control.
You would have to be as stupid as r4 to buy one of their cards.

Surely people now know that r4 cards are terrible and nobody should buy one.
Anyone who buys are card from a company that can't make their own firmware is "not thinking clearly".

If Gateway truely cares than they need to take out the BS brick code to brick your 3Ds and brick the clone cards instead. I wanted to return a R4i back to the seller in China and for like 2oz it was like 23.95 for tracking and 9.95 without tracking in a plain envelope so I can imagine how much a 3ds will cost to ship both ways.
