yeah but others don't even know the difference between legally edited and illegal pkm.

I agree. Sure they will perform at their maximum and it saves a lot of time, but it's not like it's not available to anyone in game either.

For me it's to have multiple setups of Pokémon and being able to include any I want right away or test certain builds. This is without the hassle what is called breeding.

Believe me they know, and this gen they can also tell when scrubs hacked if they notice their mons are strangely resilient and or fast when it shows that their egg hatch count is 6 or something, and off course they still use terribad tactics like sending 3 swepeers to one shot everything and disconnect when they get paralyzed or confused.

You can use a program to hack mons, but you can't use a program to get gud ;)

Yeah pretty much that. Someone gets it, at least. XD

EDIT: Ah, so glad that there's an ignore option here. Should have done it from the start. :D

I hope they never make one. Hacked pokemon ruin online for me.
Interesting how quickly he cracked the pokemon data encryption and figured out the format though. Though the tool is still very incomplete and a lot of data is not editable and there are no move names.

^This I don't want my online battle runined too just because some stupid kids cant play fair hope nientendo blocks this asap

One or two others asked but they didn't really get a reply.
Has anyone at least tried the 'hidden legendaries' #719 (Diancie) #720 (Volcanion) #721 (Hoopa) so we can get concrete proof on whether or not they're just a hoax or even unfinished Pokemon that GF couldn't release because of time constraints?

Realize that when this method is available in a useable form, you won't see any difference in battles online. No 999atk stat pikachu. The same exact movesets and pokemon you've been seeing, are what you will be battling. The only difference is how much time that person put into creating that team.

;O;

edit: and shinies. But that is only cosmetic, not an unfair advantage. And you don't need to trade with them either.

Anyone half serious about battling will have perfect pokes anyways with how easy they are to obtain now. The only thing hacking does is allow for more variety and experimentation. Why would someone try out a new set when they risk spending 5+ hours breeding/leveling to find out: hey, this is awful. Now if they can spend 10 minutes, trying out that poke doesn't seem like a bad idea.

So, I know people like to say things without thinking about it, but hacking allows for much more freedom and experimentation, increasing variety in battles. Also, having perfect pokemon reduces the amount of luck involved in pokemon battles as much as can be, putting more of an emphasis on skill.

So if you're an avid battler, hacking will generally have a positive effect on your experience. If you're a casual, then sure, this will more likely be a negative, but then you probably would get beat by people who take it seriously anyway, so the effect would be negligible I'd imagine.

I'm not saying everyone should hack, but I don't understand why people make such a big deal about it. If you like grinding eggs, go for it, gen 6 made the process much less painful, but overall, I don't really see how hacking negatively impacts very many people.

Much part of the fun in the game is getting to a new stage where only those who put in the time and effort get to attempt to become the best. It also keeps competitive players in check since, as you said, it takes time to breed a full team, so people are not willing to take chances.

If hacking becomes easily available to every scrub (hey, wont point names) then the problem is not them, they're still bad, the problem is people can easily switch between a full team and another and thus the metgame becomes defined much faster, which isn't a good thing, because as soon as the metagame is found then there is little point in anything else and much of the fun that comes from experimenting and trying unique things get quickly shoved aside because of the metagame.

I've seen crazy teams, and this is because there isn't an specific dominating meta, which makes many things viable. The meta will still be found in time, but when that time comes a lot of the fun will be sucked away. This is the best part of any new gen of pokemon, and, hopefully, it wont go to shit this fast just so some scrubs can hack retarded teams they believe will make them good because they think stats are everything (protip they're not, how you use them is what counts).

It seems there is no way to edit the saves directly like past pokegens allowed, and it can only be done via wondertrade which hopefully nintendo will patch in soon.

Edit: and as I speak, the hidden legendary pokemons are getting uncovered by modifying RAM for the encounter slots, ruining it for everyone. I'm not sure who to blame anymore, the autistic hackers or gamefreak for being shit tier at coding.

On the bold part, fun for you may not be fun for someone else.

On breeding a full team... though from what I have seen many of those accusing themselves of being competitive might not understand the maths behind what they are doing there are still a handful that run the numbers (and then share the results with everybody). The move sets available and numbers involved mean you are not even that likely to uncover a truly killer combo either.

Likewise I am not sure autistic is a good insult.

As I said in my previous post, modifying the ram allocations for encounters, the mons are already in the game, there was just no event to access them. The point was to wait till the event, and find and surprise yourself in game when gamefreak allowed it, instead of watching a picture of them on a forum. Hackers yet again ruin another pokemon gen.

Better luck next gen, gamefreak.
