heres what im thinking: remove all the unnecessary things
like Gyroscope, Cameras, Microphone, code scanner,
even replace 3D screen with a normal cheaper screen.

You didn't call anything besides the cheaper screen. It's like saying "oh man, this phone is gonna have all these features" and in the end, it only has one of these features, that's not predicting anything at all.

i always said, why not make a cheaper model without some of the more expensive and useless stuff.

ive also been extolling the virtues of a vertical solid one piece design like the original grey brick, without the troublesome hinges, and it looks like they are going in that direction now

Not really. Most of those features weren't removed (and most of them are in fact neccessary for a reasonable amount of games, including ones that come included with the 3DS itself)
The code scanner is a software feature, by the way.
However, what could be removed is the IR - this doesn't cost much to include though.

yeah, some of the stuff probably dosent cost that much so they included it, but the basic idea of making it cheaper by removing some stuff nobody uses is there.

also i think "pokemon dream radar" was the reason for including the cameras. otherwise its great.

If they remove the IR they can't put out a circle pad attachment... not that I see how that could possibly fit on the damned thing anyway, or that there's a lot of use for it either, but just saying.
