Hacking Upgrading the firmware of old R4i Gold r4ids.com card

Hello, recently got an old r4i gold card, it looks 100 % like this one: R4i Gold from www.r4ids.com

Software for this card on r4ids.com site is really old - from 5.2010 and looks like this card is no longer supported. After a little research found that software from r4ids.cn WOOD R4 V1.51 kernal works great on this card, so basically i can use it with later games.

My problem is that this card don't work on my DSi with v1.4.4E firmware, but works great with my older NDS. On r4ids.cn there are 2 patches - The 3DS V4.3.0-10 Patch for R4i Gold Non-3DS and The DSi V1.44 Patch for R4i Gold Non-3DS. I wonder can i use one of them to upgrade the firmware on R4i Gold r4ids.com card to work with my DSi and 3DS? If old R4i Gold r4ids.com and r4ids.cn cards are the same this should work, but i need someone to confirm that.

i don't know, but Wood R4i kernel from r4ids.cn works on r4ids.com card.

Also, hardware is the same and found that r4ids.com and r4ids.cn were one team before - R4i Gold History

yes, i'm sure - my card has R4iDS.com address on front. But i use wood kernel from r4ids.cn.

probably R4idsn 3DS Version card you mention is also the same couse looks inside like mine - R4idsn 3DS Version

Well you can try the updates from r4ids.cn and r4idsn.com, but they might fuck up.

well, tried updates from r4ids.cn, but they fail in card check.

edit:
actually, i was wrong, i started nds patch for broken cards.

The DSi V1.44 Patch for R4i Gold Non-3DS (V144_Update_R4iGold_Non3DS_NDSi.nds) from http://www.r4ids.cn did the job, now old r4ids.com card works perfectly with NDSi v1.4.4 running wood kernel.
