is there a tool such as wii backup manager that will allow me to add gc isos to my usb hdd 'properly' with gameID, etc?

http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/gcit.html

Made by the same guy who made wii backup manager.

It doesn't transfer them to the hard drive but it will output them into whatever format you want (GCReEx and DiscEx)

After that all you have to do is transfer the files over to your hard drive by using cut/ paste.

Do you guys recommend the mod version even if I don't have any GC games or do any NAND emulation? I've been using the last stable release from the official CFG Loader since last year. I might update the forwarder with the latest though but I was wondering if the MOD version has fixes that the official one doesn't.

The issues you would probably want to look out for are 1) problems downloading covers for ALL games that don't have there covers (doing a batch download). It does not work on a number of the mod versions 2) often settings in config.txt regarding the video = system setting is not read, which results in all your PAL games giving you a black screen if your on an NTSC system. Real pain.

IMO, I would not upgrade, unless you really need some of the newer features. On all my friends systems, I only put on Config v70 as it's super stable and works perfectly, works really well with D2Xv7-final as well. There really is zero reason to upgrade.

Thanks for the replies! I will just keep v70 since it's so stable (not a single crash for over a year...). I'm running it with ciosx v8 final and the latest forwarder v12.

"It seems many loaders havn't caught up yet since NoDisc is no longer controlled via the config but instead just but either having a disc in the drive or not."

I think that's still in there for those who have an incompatible SD card AND and incompatible hard drive and still have to revert back to DML r59

r35beta2 works fine for me loading DM 2.0

Any chance though to make if an official update and get rid of the green buttons?

I second no green buttons. They look really out of place and are misplaced, so their text is off-centered (and sometimes part of it goes outside of the button). Also, it would be nice for problem of the flashing disc slot led constantly flashing during GC gameplay to be solved, as it's really distracting.

However, the change I would like the most is the implementation of a feature to show only Wii games. There's a option to show just GC games but not one for Wii games, which I find lame.

Can someone tell me how to force NTSC on CFG? I can't find it in the options...thanks in advance... :moogle:
Yeah, I don't have much experience with CFG either. I was wondering that as well.

Select the game and go to Options > Video > Force NTSC.

Yea maybe, but shouldn't be an option (greyd out or something) when using a v2+ and that would be an easy fix

What is the best IOS to use when loading up Config USB for most games? For the longest time I've been using 248, but I recently updated the 249 to that v9beta (I dont fully understand what Im talking about here)

I'm on v70 and loading 248. Should I go ahead and switch it over to 249?

Update to the latest one v70r35 and it has auto cios selection and it will pick the best cios for you based on what the game uses.
Majority of the time it will be 249

I've been using it since the feature was offered and all the games still play just fine even with other cios selected.
