Also I wanna ask, do cheat codes work with Gamecube too?
USB Loader GX does have EmuNAND support, but in my testing it seemed to have problems with several games, including Sonic 4 and Majora's Mask. (I've read that compatibility improves if you have EmuNAND on a USB drive instead of on SD; I was using SD. I haven't gotten around to testing USB yet.)

In the USB Loader GX "Features" menu, there's options to extract the system NAND to USB or SD. Select that option, then use the Install WAD option to install a WAD file to the emulated NAND. Enable EmuNAND in the loader menu, and you should be able to load a channel from EmuNAND.

Also, with regards to NoDisc: The main issue is that the GameCube IPL and several game discs check to make sure the "drive closed" sensor is tripped. This sensor can be tripped by having *any* disc in the drive, not just a GameCube or Wii disc. What the NoDisc patch does is it removes the check from the IPL (which is no longer used) and from games, but it may fail for games that use different code to check it, in which case more patches will need to be added.

@crediar: Good work with the USB loading functionality, can't wait to try it out. :) (I did buy a SanDisk 32GB Class 10 card for DML, but it can be used for other things as well. I'm planning on upgrading my USB drive to a 500 GB sometime soon.) I'm assuming that Dios Mios won't support anything but FAT32 due to memory constraints, so I'll have two partitions: NTFS for Wii, and FAT32 for GameCube. (I used to use EXT4, but libext2fs for Wii is ridiculously slow at writing files for some reason.)

since there's already a GoogleCode page for DM I'm sure you'll be able to tell EXACTLY how he did it, technical details and all.
Won't have to come out some extra new loader versions for DM?
Without a special loader modification it probably won't work on real nand.
Is there something like that in planning?
Yeah, some minor loader adjustment would be needed since the loader wouldn't know that it can show you games that are on USB without having to copy it to SD first.

I think the only compatibility that changes are with speed. At least wiht Majoras Mask the problem, as I understand it, is that D2X is just not good emulating games that contain compressed ROMs. For some reason old cIOS 249 r17 emulation works fine. I'd hope the d2x people can figure it out. Since uLoader can emulate nand I don't know if the 222 version of GX can emulate or not but I do understand that 222 emulation is in a completely different format.

USB Loader GX R1156 Mod 17

-Force PAL480p enabled. Now you can play PAL games in 480p format!

Is this for Gamecube Games? I ask because not all PAL GC games support forced 480p. This a useful resource: http://www.gc-forever.com/wiki/index.php?title=Swiss/480p_Compatibility_List
It gets interesting at the 576p part.

About the DM...
When will it be released? Tueidj anti-piracy protection is useless now, i think.
DM and Devolution are two different applications. Devolution's AP applies only to devolution itself and it isn't related to DM. I think you meant that now that a possible Usb game loading capable DM may be released people will be inclined to use it instead of Tueidj's Devolution which may explain a bit your logic. However Devolution target a lot of features that are really interesting.

Yeah, i know. Devolution have a lot of cool stuff, but i think that most of the people may prefer the DM instead devolution, because the AP, as you said it. I believe that such protection is unnecessary and useless. And yeah, I'm a pirate. Lol.

Is 576p better than 480p?
You mean 576i, not 576p. Since I don't live in Europe, my TV doesn't support it, so I haven't seen it myself. I've heard that 576i looks better, but it makes games lag sometimes.

No, he means 576p. PAL Gamecube games unofficially support 576p if forced. See here: http://www.gc-forever.com/wiki/index.php?title=Swiss/480p_Compatibility_List

Is 576p better than 480p?

It depends. With 576p you get more pixels but it only works with 50Hz. Also there may be issues like letterboxed screens and wrong aspect ratio.

So far DM only lacks support for different controllers compared to Devolution, but you have to keep in mind that DM runs in GC mode and Devolution in Wii mode.

Ok, I was looking at the video and noticed Crediar was using a Classic Controller to navigate the Wii Menu. Do you think he's using the CC to play the GC games too?
Probably just wishful thinking on my part but maybe? (although it's just as likely he put the CC down and picked up the GC pad when the game started) :P

Correct.
Another important difference is that DM exists and Devolution doesn't . Sure all we have of DM is a video but coming from the creator of DML, it's very credible.

I noticed this too. Perhaps he had enough of the Wiimote/GC controller switching in the development time and made a GC Controller hack for the Wii menu.
