Maybe Nintendo payed Capcom to not release monster hunter 3G/4 on Vita, and that's why it'll be on PSP >.

You do notice that Portable 3G and 3G are two totally different games and nothing to do with Nintendo.
Yeah I knew that, maybe if I write the same sentence without "3g/4", you'll understand what i meant.

Oh. If this game gets to PSN it's no prob anyway as you can also play it in qHD on the Vita.

And you know, Capcom might even release a P3G HD version? Like what they did for P3rd.

Ignoring all the previous posts, am I to understand that this is TriG (written as 3G, like the 3DS game) for the PSP? I mean, that looks like Bracchidios up there, except his horn is not green but red. Or am I wrong in the assumption that Bracchidios was a TriG exclusive?

EDIT:

Yep, definitely Bracchidios. Only red. And definitely MH3G for the PSP. Unless it's another Chinese trick or shopped.

With the continuing strong sales of the PSP (or at least, stronger than the Vita), I'm not surprised by this development at all. It would however wound fanboy pride if the PSP gets new stuff that the 3DS version don't have.

Like ONLINE. *lowgrowl*

It does look somewhat like the 3DS monster, but by looking a little closer it looks slightly different to me (besides the color).
I never really thought the Monster would be an exclusive anyway.

And no. This game is the G version of the PSP's Monster Hunter Portable series. Not the main series of Tri.

are you kidding me? they're even in the EXACT SAME POSE, down to the tail and the right fist smashed on the ground. you could probably trace the two images. tell me i'm wrong. come on.

and Bracchidios not being exclusive, sure. eventually. but it's both titled "3G", and we all know well up until now that Bracchidios is a MH3G exclusive. there's no denying that, so it's definitely a very strong suggestion in that direction.

OH CRAP. I was too distracted by that freaking golden dragon at the bottom. Didn't really pay much attention to your pic too.

But can they even use the very same pic? I mean, if it's actual they'll use some different pose not blocking the "CAPCOM".

Seriously, my bad in looking at your photo carefully (my fanboy is really showing).

I am DEFINITELY HYPED for any MH game. And again I did mention, the monster - no expectation of it being an exclusive anyway. I won't be surprised if P3G includes underwater combat as well.

@ferofax

You keep insisting about MH3G brought to PSP because of the 3DS monster (the name was too much to type). Well, if you read the OP:

Summary:
To be released at the end of the year.
12 weapon types with new controls.
New monsters.
New types of damage

It's no surprise CASHcom adds a 'G' in front of any of their popular MHs.

Japanese titles of the game are kinda shitty to differentiate from. Odds are it'll be released as "Monster Hunter Freedom 3" or something in the US (if it does get released) to make it stand out from the main series (which goes simply by Monster Hunter like Monster Hunter 3).

But yes, Monster Hunter Portable 3 and Monster Hunter 3 are completely different. The 3DS is getting a sorta revamp of Monster Hunter 3 under 3G. The PSP got (and could possibly get) Monster Hunter Portable 3 and 3G.

and the sad thing is if those new stuff aren't on the 3DS version. no mention of online though, but that AND localizing* this PSP version would ruin the 3DS. lol, okay, not ruin it entirely maybe, but it will kill a lot of fairies and make lots of little boys very sad (me included).

*pure conjecture, this one.

You are forgetting that the 3DS will have a Monster Hunter 4.

Still looking forward to this. Haven't really touched my PSP these days.

And yes, localization is a huge issue. If its not I'll just download the digital copy on my Vita.

Monster Hunter 3 Tri = Original Wii release.

Monster Hunter Portable 3G = PSP release of Monster Hunter Portable 3 with additional content. Think of it as Portable 3rd with bonus content.

Honestly... If 3G were never released here but a Portable 3rd G was released for PSP, that's good enough yo. I'll English patch that bitch like I did all the other Monster Hunter bests (2nd G & Portable 3rd). PSP getting love still? That's awesome because at LEAST I can also support sales by buying a copy I can play on my system. I'm all for this!

(Although I'd still like to see 3G released stateside...)
